SUMMARY OF OUTCOMES: 4 International Operations (2015-2018/) at 15 border crossing points resulting in a number of arrests, recovery of a hijacked ship, several interceptions and seizures of hazardous chemicals/materials, hundreds of thousands of screens against INTERPOL databases and secondary cargo/vehicle/chemicals checks
Built a cadre of over 100 trained senior law enforcement officers in 8 Southeast Asian and 3 Middle East countries to be used as international points of contact to coordinate, conduct and lead activities to counter the illicit smuggling of chemicals
OBJECTIVE: Enhance regional efforts to combat the illegal movement of chemical & explosive materials and improve information-sharing among beneficiary countries on international criminal investigations
Beneficiary Agencies: police, customs, immigration and government chemical and border security agencies
