ABOUT NIPCCD• It is a premier institute devoted to promotion of voluntary action

and research, training and documentation in the overall domain of women and child development. It was established in New Delhi in the year 1966 under Society Registration Act XXI, 1860. NIPCCD functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India.

• It’s headquarter is located in New Delhi. Beside this institute have four regional centers at-

1. Guwahati

2. Bangaluru

3. Lucknow

4. Indore

• All regional centers cater to the region specific requirement across the nation. Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India has declared the institute as a nodal agency for training and capacity building of the functionaries of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme and Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS).

VISION OF NIPCCD:

• The institute has a vision to become a centre of excellence in the field of women and child development in the south-East Asian region by developing partnership and linkages with National and International Agencies and making the training and research activities relevant to the needs of client groups.

OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the institute are to:

• Develop and promote voluntary action in social development

• Take a comprehensive view of child development and to promote and develop need based programme in pursuance of the National Policy for Children

• Develop measures for coordination between government and voluntary action in social development.

• Evolve framework and perspective for organizing children’s programmes through governmental and voluntary efforts

• Establish liaison with international and regional agencies, research institution, universities and technical bodies engaged in activities similar to those of the institute.

FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE:

• Director is the academic and administrative head of the institute. The activities of the institute are carried out through two departments

I. The department of mother care and child development

II. The department of training and common services

• Each department is headed by an additional Director.

• Preparation of research design on “Challenges faced in implementation of training knowledge and skills in NGO sector”

• Study of POCSO Act

• Study of given research design

• Preparation of Data Collection tool

• Editing and finalization of data collection tool
