PRESENTATION

THE 5th EDITION “A TUTTO FLAUTO 2021” INTERNATIONAL FLUTE COMPETITION FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS, IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE SANITARY RULES IN FORCE, WILL BE HELD ONLINE ON MAY 7,8,9, 2021. The compe::on was created with the aim of promo:ng and dissemina:ng musical culture, favoring the exchange and comparison between young musicians, enhancing talents.

COMPETITION RULES.

1. The compe::on is open to young flu:sts of different levels and of any na:onality, up to 25 years of age.

2. You can par:cipate either as a soloist or as a component in a chamber or ensemble forma:on, in this case two forms must be filled in for each par:cipa:on request and the rela:ve fees paid.

3. Par:cipants will be able to enroll in a higher category than that foreseen for their age, but not a lower one.

4. To par:cipate in the compe::on, the fee for the various categories (A, B, C, D) must be paid as indicated in the announcement.

Registra:ons must be made by April 24, 2021, by filling out the appropriate form that can be downloaded from the website www.scuoladimusicagiuseppeverdi.it. The registra:on form must be sent together with a copy of the bank transfer and a copy of a valid iden:ty document, communica:ng the link where you can view the video of the recording of your performance which will be uploaded on your YouTube channel as a private video, that will be made available to individual commissioners by e-mail to: concorsoatucoflauto21@gmail.com

5. IMPORTANT RULE: Each video must bear the name of the person performing before the recording of the "song". It must be carried out by shooDng the candidates full-length in which their hands must be visible, a sign must be displayed with the words: “ALL FLUTE COMPETITION 2021” and must be carried out in a single sequence without interrupDon. Anyone who violates this rule will be disqualified.

6. SOLOISTS SECTION:

B * born from 2007 to 2009 max 8 min. € 40.00 * subdivided into categories. B1 born in 2009 B2 born in 2008 B3 born in 2007

C * born from 2002 to 2006 max 10 min. € 50.00 ° subdivided into categories C1 born in 2005-2006, C2 born in 2002-2004.

D born from 1995 to 2001 max 10 min. In the elimina:on phase max 20 min - € 60.00 in the final

8. EVALUATION CRITERIA:

First absolute in the category that will have received a score between 99 and 100/100

1st Prize to the candidate(s) who have achieved a score between 95 and 98/100;

2nd Prize to the candidate(s) who have achieved a score between 90 and 94/100;

3rd Prize to the candidate(s) who have achieved a score between 85 and 89/100.

Below the third prize, no points will be awarded but a cer:ficate of par:cipa:on will be issued.

9. By registering for the compe::on, the candidate(s) also sign a release for the free use of their images and recordings by the organizers. For minors, authoriza:on is granted by a parent or guardian.

10. ALL AWARDS WILL BE SENT ELECTRONICALLY OR BY POST. ONLY IF THE COVID SITUATION CHANGES, IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ORGANIZATION TO COMMUNICATE THE PLACE OF THE AWARDS AND THE FINAL CONCERT.

11. For category “D”, the winners of other interna:onal compe::ons will have the right to directly access the final phase of the compe::on, which includes a piece of their choice for flute and piano.

12. The commission will listen to the program presented by the candidates provided that it does not exceed the :me limits set out in the REGULATION; In turn, the compe:tors have the right to perform pieces of shorter dura:on than the maximum :me indicated by the tests of each category.

13. An email confirming receipt of registra:on will be sent by the management. The management will communicate to each compe:tor his result in the compe::on

14. The commission may decide to assign any prizes to equal merit. The decisions of the commissions are final and unappealable.

15. Each compe:tor will receive a cer:ficate of par:cipa:on.

16. Failure to par:cipate in the compe::on will not give the right to any refund.

17. Par:cipa:on in the compe::on implies the uncondi:onal acceptance of these rules without any reserva:on.

18. AWARDS To the winners in the "1st Absolute Prize" of the categories A-B-C- "SOLOISTS", there will be prizes in sheet music offered by "Schoc Music" and "Universal Edi:on" Diploma and Plaque for all . For category "D" the prizes will be online lessons in order of ranking: 3rd prize - three online lessons / 2nd prize - four online lessons / 1st prize - 5 online lessons. The lesson prizes will be communicated to the winners at the end of the compe::on

19. PROGRAMS -The programs of the chamber music sec:ons of categories A, B and C of the SOLO sec:on are freely chosen by the candidate.

Category “D” SOLOISTS sec:on, foreseen as a compulsory piece to pass the test preliminary round, will be a piece chosen from:

- A. Honegger - Danse de la Chévre

- S. Mercadante – Aria Variata "La ci darei la mano"

- J.Ibert. - Piece

- E.Varese - Density 21.5

- S. Karg- Elert - Sonata Appassionata Op.140

Those admiced to the final must perform either a piece or a sonata or a concert for flute and piano (rid.). In the event that candidates perform concerts or sonatas that exceed the maximum :me of 20 minutes, they may choose to perform some movements.
