International Youth Day 2016

IYD Organised by Kotshera college. Theme of IYD-2016 "The Road to 2030- Eradicating poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production". Function started with the welcome of hon'ble chief guest Mr. ADN Bajpai- VC of HPU. •55 volunteers of Sanjauli college •97 volunteers of RKMV college •35 volunteers of St. Bedes college •59 volunteers of Kotshera college Program had mainly 3 parts- 1. Tree plantation 2. Youth Rally from chauda maidan to kotshera camus 3. Speech by Hon'ble VC

Due to bad weather conditions rally and tree plantation could not be done. VC talked about unemployment, policy makers and gave some Index. •Intellectual property index- 37th rank •competitive index- 89 rank •human development index - 130 rank and many more. He talked about the various monsters that we'll be face when we enter to the real world like corruption, Drug abuse, Black money, Red tapism, unemployment. After that different spokesperson talked about sustainability and told us that unequal distribution of resources all over the world will not lead to sustainability.
