I n. pri nci pl e the manufacturer obtains a test report from a part i ci pati ng test hduse an d t hen takes that report to hi s o w n na t i onal cer t i f yi ng body to obt ai n a cer t i f i cat e of conf orm ty for hi s countr y. I f he w she s t o export hi s product he can al so t ake the same test report t o each countr y where he w shes to expo r t and gain a certi fi cate for that country as wel l . The benef i t of t he schem e i s t ha t t he second test house does not ha ve t o r epeat t he testi ng and the new cer t i f i cat e can be i ssued r i ght away. Ea ch t est hou se has i ts ow n "Mark" or logo and t he manufacturer is t hen l i censed t o u se t hat mark on hi s product.
