1. Each application for full-time or part-time studies must be accompanied by a $125 CDN non-refundable application processing fee. This must be in the form of a cheque or money order payable to the “University of New Brunswick” or be charged to your VISA, MasterCard or American Express. University policy prohibits processing your application without the $125 processing fee.

2. Secondary school applicants: please provide an official or notarized secondary school transcript (including your Grade 11 (or equivalent) and a complete listing of Grade 12 (or senior year equivalent) directly to the international Recruitment Centre. Please note mid-term grades are not used for admission assessment purposes. A complete official transcript of your final Grade 12 (or senior year equivalent) and any external test results are required to finalize your admissions file.

Academic credentials/external tests: Please provide the results of any academic tests you have taken such as SAT, ACT, IGCSE, GCE, A-level, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, CXC, WAEC etc.3. If you are not applying directly from secondary school please provide a resumé or detailed list of work and educational activities since completion of

secondary school. Be sure to include all important information such as start and end dates to avoid delays in processing your application.

4. If you are attending or have attended any college, university or language school you must arrange to have official or notarized transcripts sent directly to the International Recruitment Centre. UNB requires transcripts for ALL educational studies.

5. Students who have attended post-secondary institutions, and are requesting transfer credits, must supply official or notarized course descriptions for all courses completed. If these course descriptions are available online in English please provide the direct web link during application. If original course outlines are not in English please provide a copy of the untranslated information as well as the certified English translations. Email web links to [email protected].

6. If you are applying for Education, Kinesiology/Recreation and Sport Studies, Nursing or a Bachelor of Integrated Studies on the Fredericton campus, you must complete supplementary forms (see program descriptions below). Your application should be accompanied by all required supporting documentation with the exception of your official transcripts, which must be sent directly from your school.

7. If you are a resident of a country that does not list English as an official language please provide evidence of English language proficiency (E.G. IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL etc.).

Conditional Admission: Students who meet academic requirements for admission but are not able to demonstrate English language proficiency at the time of application may be considered for conditional admission for certain academic programs. For more information on conditional admission at UNB please visit our website at unb.ca/englishrequirements.

8. Applicants who have been required to withdraw from UNB or any other university or college because of failure to meet academic standards must provide (1) a personal letter explaining their previous academic performance and why they feel they will be successful if admitted and (2) a satisfactory letter of recommendation from an employer or an individual (non-family member) who can comment on the applicant’s ability to succeed in further studies. Additional evidence that the applicant is likely to be successful may also be requested. Such applicants will not be considered for admission/re-admission for at least 12 months from the time they were required to withdraw.

9. All documents submitted in support of an application for admission become the property of the University of New Brunswick and will not be returned to the applicant or provided to other institutions.

• BACHELOR OF EDUCATION DEGREE – Fredericton Campus The Bachelor of Education program is available to those who have already satisfied the requirements for a Bachelor’s degree. Special supplementary forms, available through the Registrar’s Office or online at unb.ca/application, must be submitted together with the University application form and application fee. Early application is highly recommended. Faculty of Education Admission Advantage (FEAA) The Faculty of Education Admission Advantage (Fredericton Campus) offers exceptional high school and first-year UNB students conditional acceptance into the Bachelor of Education program. • BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN KINESIOLOGY AND BACHELOR OF RECREATION AND SPORT STUDIES Mature applicants and transfer students applying from another degree program or from a different college or university and applicants for re-admission to the Kinesiology program are required to complete a special Faculty of Kinesiology supplementary form. This form is available online at unb.ca/application and must be sent as supporting documentation. High school students are NOT required to complete this form.

• BACHELOR OF NURSING The basic program covers 4 years of general/professional education and is offered in Fredericton and Saint John. Early application is recommended. Applicants to the Fredericton campus are required to submit a Life Sketch for admission purposes, which must be submitted no later than March 31. Information is available at unb.ca/application. Accepted students to the Saint John campus will receive additional supplemental forms. The Advanced Standing Program (ASP) may be an option for students who have completed at least 60 credit hours of university courses with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on the most recent 60 hours of course work. This program is offered on the Moncton campus. Contact the Office of the BN Program Director in Fredericton at [email protected] or 506 458-7670 for further information.

• ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS If your official transcripts and certificates were issued to you in a language other than English, you must provide a certified English translation in addition to your official or notarized documents.

• VISITING STUDENTS Along with your post-secondary transcript please obtain a signed letter of permission from your home institution and provide it with your application package.
