Expert Group Meeting ResultsExpert Group Meeting Results..

Because of the wide divergence of opinion, the Expert Group didn’t come to a single conclusion.

Instead the group produced four options: To terminate the ITRs by integrating its provisions to

constitution, convention or recommendations. To modify the ITRs keeping it as a treaty level text. To defer the determination of whether to modify the

ITRs. Proposals of new areas of regulations to allow further

development. (new topics) The Expert Group also proposed the possibility

of a combination of these options.

elements of the ITRs which fall within their scope of work to decide whether these elements are still valid.

To consider the possible consequences of integrating these elements to the convention, constitution or recommendations.
