Adelaide has welcomed migrants from around the world and its unique multicultural atmosphere is reflected in the diverse range of cuisines offered by its many cafes and restaurants, and in the produce available at its renowned Central Market. Why Concordia College?

“At Concordia we aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. We offer a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom allowing students to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.”

Paul Weinert Principal, Concordia Campus

Concordia College is a co-educational school educating around 1300 students from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Founded in 1890, Concordia is located in Highgate, just 5 km (10 minutes) from Adelaide’s city centre and 20 minutes from Adelaide International Airport.

Based on the Christian ethos, Concordia has a strong reputation as a school which cares for its students.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, we believe in the value of an international education and the importance of developing a global mindset. We have high expectations of our students and offer a challenging and engaging program of learning. Concordia’s Senior School academic program builds on the International Baccalaureate Programme offered in the Middle School. Students choose from a broad range of subjects as part of a well-balanced curriculum, which enables them to gain the IB Diploma or the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) on completion of Year 12.

Many of our students achieve excellent academic scores, preparing them for entry into top universities both in Australia and overseas.

Student SupportAt Concordia College we currently have around 30 international students from five countries, providing excellent opportunities for language learning and cultural assimilation. A number of international students are currently in the IB Diploma Programme.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is provided as part of the Year 11 and 12 curriculum in both the IB Diploma and the SACE. EAL support is provided for students who enrol in Year 10, preparing for the senior years programs in Years 11 and 12. Our International Student Coordinator is responsible for the wellbeing and integration of international students. The Principal (or delegate) travels internationally to meet with parents of current and prospective students.
