IMII will address these by:• Bringing “market pull” to the design of E&T programs • Addressing industry-identified gaps in national R&D infrastructure (i.e.
soft rock R&D)• Enhancing SK’s image as a world class mining jurisdiction so it will
attract world class teachers, researchers and students• Bring alignment of goals and capability development of provincial
institutions with industry’s needs• Providing directed industry + government funding to accelerate change
