Theme-7 : Recent Developments in Event Stratigraphy and The Deccan Education Society (DES), Pune, is one of the oldest and Tectonostratigraphyrenowned educational societies in India, with over 128 years of Theme-8 : Significance of Stratigraphy in Petroleum, Coal and dedicated service to the nation in the field of education, founded in Mineral Exploration1884 by such eminent national personalities like Lokmanya Tilak and Theme-9 : Recent Developments in Cyclostratigraphy and Gopal Ganesh Agarkar. The Deccan Education Society at present has Volcanic Stratigraphy62 educational institutions providing education from pre-primary Theme-10 : Recent Developments in Palaeontology, Paleo-stage to post graduate and research levels in Arts, Science, Commerce, Oceanography, Paleo-Geography and Paleo-Management, Law, Agriculture, Technical and Vocational Training. EnvironmentOur alumni include intellectuals, industrialists, politicians, Theme-11 : Recent Developments in Sedimentary Basins of Indialitterateurs, legal luminaries, defence personnel, administrators, Theme-12 : Recent Developments in Applied Geologyartists and sports persons of the highest calibre, who have rendered valuable service to the nation.
The conference will include oral as well as poster presentations. The ndFergusson College was established on 2 January, 1885 and has been participants are encouraged to make poster presentations (A0/A1
