PREFACE
International Conference on Communication Systems (ICCS-2013) was a premier event for
Researchers, Academicians and Industry Professionals organized at B K Birla Institute of
Engineering & Technology, Pilani in collaboration with IETE during October 18-20, 2013.
BKBIET, Pilani was founded by Shree Krishnarpana Charity Trust as its technical wing under the
Chairmanship of Syt. Basant Kumar Birla in the year 2007 in the core of educational city, Pilani.
BKBIET is an approved institute by AICTE and is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University
(RTU), Kota. Institute is running various UG & PG courses and is committed to give quality
education to its students.
The objective of the Conference was to bring different research professionals from country and
abroad at a single platform to share their concepts, prototypes, research ideas and experiences in
recent trends of research in Communication Systems. In the Conference a series of pedagogical
talk was delivered by the eminent speakers from the country and abroad.
The response to the call for papers in ICCS-2013 was encouraging. About hundred and fifty
research papers were received across the world and about hundred were shortlisted by the
review committee for the oral presentation. The conference which started with opening new
avenues for the students to study abroad at its initial stage later covered a broad range of
Communication Systems, Microwave & Antennas, VLSI & Embedded, Image & Signal Processing,
Semiconductors & Material Sciences, Computer & Networks, Optical Communication, Power
Electronics and allied areas of Electronics and Communication Systems where the eminent
speakers across the globe (12 from France, 02 from Thailand, 01 from Belgium and 19 from
India) for enlightened the gathering by sharing their knowledge, ideas, experience and expertise.
The success of the conference can also be assessed on the terms of papers as about 75 papers
were presented along with the 500 registration for the participation. Adding another feather in
the cap of the conference, 43 papers are recomended for the publication in special issue of
“International Journal of Electronics and Communication Engineering & Technology (IJECET)”.
We heartily thank to all the eminent speakers for accepting our request and delivering a
motivational and innovative talk in the occasion. We are thankful to all the authors and
participants for responding to our call and also to the reviewers for their excellent work and the
quality of the reviews provided by them. We are heavily thankful to the various working
committees who had been a constant help to us throughout the conference. At the same time
organizing committee is also very thankful to the sponsors for their financial supports to the
event.
