Background


Formerly known as Vibration and Noise Section of SAE-C/EPTC, SAE-China NVH is directly affiliated with SAE-C now. As a non-profit

social organization established in 2012, it bears the responsibilities to promote the development of China automotive industry, bring

benefits to domestic brand enterprises , cultivate academic leaders and research teams, and enhance Chinese scientific and

technological competitiveness.

In order to serve the automotive engineering and promote NVH technologies, the International Conference on Automotive NVH

Control Technology has invited plenty of renowned foreign professors and experts to communicate with first-line experts from

our domestic OEMs every year. Most participants are NVH professional engineers and technicial leaders from all around the world.

They share valuable ideas and innovation concepts during the conference. After over-ten-year work, the conference now has

become the main communication platform and annual festival for NVH industry engineers in China.

The conference adopted two main forms: conference speeches and sub-forum discussions. Focusing on the topics like vehicle

NVH performance development technology, powertrain NVH control technology, noise and BSR quality technology, components

NVH control technology and so on, it invites worldwide well-known experts and professors in NVH field to deliver brilliant

speeches and have group discussions. The participants can discuss the automotive NVH technology together, and also can have a

face-to-face communication with the well-known experts.

Conference Review

May 10-11, 2018 in Suzhou


The 15th International Conference on Automobile NVH Control Technology in May 10-11, 2018 was successfully held in Suzhou,

sponsored by the China Society of Automotive Engineers, China Automotive Technology and Research Center co., LTD., and hosted by

the NVH Committee of SAE-China and the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute co., LTD.. That conference made the theme

of “Innovation, Leading the Future of NVH”, focusing on key technologies such as “NVH Control Technology for Vehicles”, “NVH Control

Technology for Power Transmission Systems”, “Wind Noise and Abnormal Noise Control Technology”, etc. It investigated innovative

technologies, experiences and academic achievements in the field of automotive NVH at home and abroad, and publicized new

policies and regulations in the field of automotive NVH, with a view to accelerate the further development of China's auto industry in

the green, intelligent and international direction.

The 15th International Conference on Automotive NVH Control Technology broke through the traditional way of meeting in the past. For

the first time, the hearing recognition system of IFLYTEK was introduced at the venue, which realized the synchronization of the on-site

report text and report; and joined the roadshow activities outside the venue. The “NVH Static Evaluation of New Cars” and “NVH Test

Drive Dynamic Evaluation” activities were added to facilitate participants to better experience the NVH performance of different brands

of vehicles, which was highly praised by participants.

The conference attracted 523 guests from 82 domestic and foreign vehicle manufacturers, 31 parts and components enterprises, 28

universities, and 59 research and development institutions with a total of 200 institutions. The guests who participated in the conference

for the first time broke through 500，and the conference received strong support from well-known professors and scholars in the

industry. Now they have become an important platform for industry engineers to communicate with each other.

Lecturer Team: Keynote speeches were delivered by experts from enterprises and industrial institutions including St. Petersburg‘s

Great Imperial University, Southampton University, Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Southwest Jiaotong

University, Guangzhou Automobile Research Institute, Geely Automobile Research Institute and Chery Automobile

Research Institute. Besides, the experts communicated and discussed with the representatives about the topics of

the NVH control technology of the vehicle, powertrain, components and BSR etc..

Number of Participants:

The conference, strongly supported by the co-sponsors, achieved great success. The co-sponsors provided their

designated cars for the conference which brought convenience for participants’ trips. During the conference, the experts

and attendees were invited to visit some open laboratories of the co-enterprise so that its R&D capability and advanced

achievements of NVH were widely recognized. Meanwhile the victory of this meeting also played an important

promotional role in the enterprise.

Conference Summary:


The conference invited about 20 experts from America, Europe, Asia and returnees . They have formed a

powerful international speech team to share the NVH knowledge, technical experience and data in respective

field with the participants.

May 19-20, 2016 in Tianjin

After more than 10 years of construction, the conference invited many foreign technical experts to share their advanced

technologies with domestic engineers, which played an important role in promoting the progress of domestic brand technology .

The conference has become an influential NVH technology communication platform gradually.

At present, China's automobile industry is in a period of rapid development. In 2018, China's automobile production and sales both

exceeded 28 million, ranking first in the world, which has been lasting many years. As the automobile industry develops, NVH (Noise,

Vibration, Harshness) performance, closely related to vehicle driving and ride comfort, has also been given significance by major

automobile manufacturers and parts companies. Therefore, it is of irreplaceable significance for China to make an in-depth research on

NVH to continuously improve the international competitiveness of its own brand cars in terms of comfort and sound quality.
