Varna – the gem of the Bulgarian Black Sea, the summer capital of Bulgaria. Varna lies on the latitude of the famous French and Italian Riviere, enjoying many sunny days, pictorial coasts, rich vegetation, wide and cozy beaches. The resorts “Golden sands”, “St. Constantine”, “Albena”, “Sunny day”, “Evksinograd” situated near by the city are world famous. The season when the Conference takes place is typical for the end of the summer with sunny days and daily air and water temperatures of about 25°C.

The first information of presence of life at this area dates 12 000 years ago. The necropolis of Varna is the most sensational discovery of 1972 with the world older tooled gold. It provoked reconsidering the existing hypothesis of the origin of the European civilization.

Pope Eugenics IV proclaimed the 1442 Crusade in defense of Christianity. A 40 000 army, of Poles, Hungarians, Czechs and Wallachs, commanded by the Polish? Hungarian king Vladislav III Yagelo fought for Varna.

Modern Varna is an attractive city – a large economical center with developed infrastructure, universities, architectural and archeological sites, resorts and tourist spots, famous with cultural events.
