Mandate of SRVSOP

• SRVSOP was created after the signing of a MoU between LACAC and ICAO.

• Its objectives are:– To recommend the necessary measures so that States may

overcome the problems detected during the Universal safety oversight audit programme and ensure compliance with their safety oversight responsibilities as Contracting States.

– To increase the level of civil aviation safety within the region.– To foster, in close co-ordination with ICAO, the harmonization

and updating of safety regulations and procedures for civil aviation amongst its participating States.
