TOP LOCATIONSSADC develops high quality, accessible, (inter)nationally competitive business locations on the WESTAS logistics corridor in Amsterdam. For present and future generations. These locations contribute towards the Amsterdam WESTAS becoming one of the top five business establishment regions in Europe. In order to realise this mission, SADC always works with private and public networks and knowledge institutions in its location and area development, connecting the following four themes: Location Advice, Business Locations 2.0, Beyond Logistics and Future-Proof Area Development.

What makes the WESTAS unique?• One of the top five business establishment regions in Europe

• Four trading hubs close together (Port of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Greenport Aalsmeer and Dataport AMS-IX)

• Excellent access for clients, staff, goods and data

• Know-how available for (logistical) innovation

• International service-providers in the vicinity (Zuidas)

• Pleasant residential environment within cycling distance

Location adviceSADC connects businesses. We help national and international businesses with their choice of location and the realisation of a high-quality working environment on the west side of Amsterdam (the WESTAS). We try to relieve our clients of as many worries as possible. SADC has broad experience and sound in-house knowledge that enables it to do this. For example, we have knowledge of zoning plans, building regulations, laws and regulations, potential forms of financing and municipal area development plans.

SADC connects

Business locations 2.0SADC connects supply and demand. For a business location is so much more than ‘bricks and meters’. Before developing locations, SADC surveys the requirements of businesses, investors and municipal authorities. What is needed, now and in the future? What does a business need in order to operate successfully? Which companies are cramped up in an outdated business location? Which access could be improved? Is re-use of old business premises and locations an option? This demand-driven approach leads to Business Locations 2.0, which also support the ambitions and requirements of businesses in the long term.

Our strength lies in connecting. We connect people with each other. We connect business and government agencies to developers and research institutes. This is also the reason why we take part in a large number of networking, knowledge and business organisations. In that way, we connect ideas. Together, we develop these into new market and business concepts.

Page 5: International business in a region that offers good living ...

Beyond logisticsSADC connects new trends in logistics. The Amsterdam region, and certainly the logistical sector, are changing. Globalisation is coupled with the desire to produce closer to the consumer and the demand for close-knit distribution networks. The internet and e-commerce are changing how we do business, produce and distribute. A more sustainable or even circular economy also places new demands on the location of businesses. This imposes different requirements on the market, leads to new types of business activity and so also to different establishment conditions. Cooperation with other economic clusters such as financial and commercial service provision on the Zuidas is essential here.

Future-proof area development SADC connects the present and the future. For the conditions for suitable business locations are not set in stone. Because both the internal world of logistics and the entire outside world are changing, digitizing and becoming more sustainable. This means that the development of locations and the needs of businesses are changing. SADC knows what the issues are and therefore continually connects parties in order to be able to determine or change a path together in order to strengthen the international competitive positions of the WESTAS and of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (AMA).

From Schiphol Logistics Park (SLP), your driver can travel along the Fokkerweg and be on a platform at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol within five minutes. The park lies along the highway A4, with its own access road from the provin-cial highway N201, and is close to the highways A9 and A5 (the Greenport Aalsmeer - Port of Amsterdam axis). No wonder that the airport-oriented integrators, forwarders and transporters regard this high quality park as a triple A location. The southern part is for large-scale logistics busi-ness as the already existing eastern part of the park. The northern part is eminently suitable for small- scale logis-tics services such as hauliers and couriers, lorry repairs, car rental companies an other service providers.www.schiphollogisticspark.nl | Twitter: @Schiphol_logist

DOING BUSINESS CLOSE TO THE CITY IN AN INTERNATIONAL SETTING.

Business Park Amsterdam Osdorp has been trans-formed over the years. This is because of its unique location: on the Logistics Corridor between Amster-dam Airport Schiphol and the Nieuw-West district of Amsterdam, in the middle of the Tuinen van West. In the early years, this primarily attracted logistical business with close ties with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. With the development of Nieuw-West, they have been joined by businesses from the city in recent years.

Prestigious. That is the word that tends to come up in almost every conversation about this business park in Hoofddorp. And that’s logical, for it is reflected in almost everything. In the high-quality image, the very active park management association, the accessibility (Amsterdam Airport Schiphol just five minutes away), and all the facilities within walking distance. These include the PostNL Business Point and the Copy & Print Centre. There is even a nursery at the site. ‘Prestigious’ also applies to the greenery in De Presidentshof, with water, a park and a boathouse. The name is therefore anything but coincidental.
