Limitations of ASEAN
y Non-ASEAN countries have criticised ASEAN for being too soft
in its approach to promoting human rights and democracy in led
Myanmar.
y ASEAN has been criticized, in the past, of being a mere talking
shop. However, leaders such as the Philippines' Foreign Affairs
Secretary, Alberto Romulo, said it would be a workshop not a
talk shop. Others have also expressed similar sentiment
