INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING IN THE FORM – READ CAREFULLY!

The following courses are taught only at Standard level (SL): Norwegian B, French B, Mathematics: Applications and interpretation

The following courses are taught only at Higher level (HL): Norwegian A Literature, English A Language and Literature.

Students who want another Language A, may study that language as a school supported self-taught Language A Literature (Standard level only). The school will allocate a supervisor to give guidance for the work to be done, however, additional language tuition is required. Contact the IB Coordinator for further information.

Languages B require a solid base in the language, at least three years of previous studies. Please note that language B will not be appropriate for native speakers.

Mathematics: Applications and interpretation SL is the alternative for those who prefer a more practical approach to mathematics.

Mathematics: Analysis and approaches SL is designed to provide a sound mathematical basis for those who plan to pursue further studies in such fields as mathematics, chemistry, physics, economics and business administration. The course requires a basis in mathematics corresponding to “Matematikk 1T” in the Norwegian programme for specialization in general studies.

Mathematics: Analysis and approaches HL is a more demanding course for students expected to include mathematics as a major component of their university studies.

If there are too few applicants for a course, it will not be available. Further notice about this will be given when admissions to the IB course have been decided.
