ANNEXURE – III
Women Empowerment cell activity and report
Theme: “Rural and Urban activists transforming Women’s lives”
In academic year 2017-18, in the month of September, we received the
amount of Rs. 25000/- from the NCW, New Delhi, to organize the MCQ type
competition. Regarding this we organized the competition on 16/10/2017. In this
inter college competition students from various colleges in Chitradurga had
participated and supported the event. The cash prize was given for the students. To
motivate the students on this occasion as well as to distribute the prizes, we were
honored to have Mrs. Savitha, Principal, DTI College, and Chitradurga, as a chief
guest.
Principal Savitha Spoke on the issues of women education and specially hurdles
of women studying in the rural areas. Govt facilities for the women study and
special scholar ships towards the encouragement. Women should be ware about
social media and personal details uploading. Many mistakes are due to the
negligence and sudden beliefs at the situations.
Prof.Kamani K K IQAC coordinator spoke on women and men ratio and equality.
Voting right and equal key positions of the women for the intellectual decisions.
SVEEP EVM and VVPAT training was given to the students to active
participation in the election process
On, 08/03/2018 the International women’s day was celebrated. Many
students spoke on social dogmas which keeping the women in dark from centuries.
However the present constitutional provisions upholding the social equality but
execution is delaying. The culprits must be punished immediately without delay
with big mind set.
Dr.T R Vani,Medical Officer, Chitradurga was given health tips and normal checking
was arranged for all the students. Personality and communication skill, competitive
examination training, seminar, workshops were arranged, Q and Answer session
was ended with feed backs. & delivered lecture on Psychology, Hb level maintenance to
girl students of this college. Also she had interacted with the UG & PG girl’s.
Traffic awareness programme was arranged for the UG & PG girl students from the District
Traffic inspector, Chitradurga. LLR registration process through online & Test tips were
practiced with the sample papers.
