NOT ALL CLADDING IS CREATED EQUAL Marvin® windows and door’s exterior cladding meets AAMA 2605-11 for extruded aluminum - the industry’s highest standard. By comparison, the AAMA 2605-11 standard for roll-form aluminum does not measure up – requiring only a 0.9 mil finish thickness, instead of the 25% thicker, 1.2 mil coating required to meet the AAMA 2605-11 standard for extruded aluminum. The result is a far superior finish that is as strong and durable as it is beautiful.
The performance, longevity and beauty of our extruded aluminum cladding is unparalleled. To provide a more uniform look, high-quality extruded aluminum is used for all major clad components, including the frame, sash and divided lites systems. This beautiful, high-performing finish is backed by a 20-year warranty* against loss of adhesion, chalking or fading according to the AAMA specification 2605-11.
