Poll

Define down the scale of idea appreciation (e.g. 1-4)

Then ask everyone to write down a number on a post

Fold it and drop it in a hat

Take the sum of all the numbers and divide it by the number of participants

Always use an even number as a scale, this way everybody has to choose a side, they can’t just stand in the middle.

5 Whys (Root-Cause Analysis)

Explore relevant problems

Recognize real causes

Know that there are always multiple causes for a problem

Vary the way that you ask “why”

Root causes almost always have to do with people. It’s rarely a technical or tool

problem, most of the time it has to do with skills, knowledge, leadership, power,

authority, communication, collaboration, or the way the work is done.

Walk the Board

Invite the team to gather around the task board

Suggest to reconstruct the history of each user story

Explain the team that our goal is to find good and non-good patters of our development cycle.Start with a user story that is only recently

finished.  This is easier because it is still fresh in mind.

Explore the patterns that helps and the one that don’t

Think of actions you can take to reduce or eliminate non-good patterns.
