Accion Academy for Entrepreneurial Success Class starts this spring! Applications are being accepted NOW
until Sunday, January 25th. This is an 8-week series of practical, hands-on training accompanied by one-on-one
business counseling to empower individuals to become entrepreneurs. In addition to receiving access to multiple
business resources and experts to help you build a thriving business, participants who complete the series
will also be eligible for up to a $5,000 business loan to cover start-up costs!

Coming on the heels of the National Day of Service honoring the memory of the incomparable Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., City Council honored Kiwanis International for 100 years of service. It is one of the largest service organizations in
the world with more than 600,000 members in more than 80 nations. Members of the California, Nevada and Hawaii
(CA-NEV-HA) District of Kiwanis International joined the Councilmember in chambers for the celebration. CA-NEV-HA is the biggest district in Kiwanis International with 15,000 members. Together each year, they contribute more than
$5.3 Million and 850,000 volunteer service hours to their communities!
