UKRAINE Sarah LawsonKiev — I am in Mi12, Ukraine area’s new one-year internship program which includes seminars to equip participants for cross-cultural service. Ask God to give my church in Ukraine wisdom to know how to more effectively draw new people in and create an interest in hearing the gospel.

SLOVENIA Daniela Fechtner & Slovenia TeamWe have Kids Club on February 2nd, 9th and 23rd. Please pray for open hearts as we share about God in this club. None of our kids know the Lord and we would love to see their hearts and lives touched by him.

PHILIPPINE SENDINGA five-week TESOL certificate course begins tomorrow. Pray for the participants to learn the principles and skills involved. Pray for good practicums for them from February 25 to March 8.

PHILIPPINES Faith AcademyThank God for the awesome opportunity that 200 middle-school students and staff have during Outdoor Ed this week on Corregidor Island. Pray for spiritual growth among all, including the Filipinos whom the middle-school students will minister to.

UKRAINE Dave Benzel Kiev — Ask God to give me strength, wisdom, and safe travels as I teach “Spiritual Life” at Kiev Theological Seminary at the beginning of the month, then head to Ivano Frankivsk to teach “Sin and Salvation” at the Bible college, then return to KTS for a course in homiletics.

CANADA Steve KoningPray for our number one priority: the recruitment of 12 new career missionaries in the next three years. Pray for our mobilizers as they work across Canada. Praise the Lord that four out of our seven appointees are planning to leave in early 2013.

SEND NORTH Seward Seaman’s MissionPray for continued freedom to build the “Church At Sea” by sharing the gospel of God’s grace to English-speaking seafarers from many nations who come to Alaska on ships between May and September, and visit the Seaman’s Mission.

TAIWAN Gary & Mabel MeadeDongshi — Pray for results from the great joint-church outreach in the Dongshi town square in mid-December. The gospel was clearly presented through program activities. We held a praise dance class for outreach and the class members, mostly unbelievers, enjoyed being part of the performance.

GERMANY Gary & Terri VinceletteLemgo — Pray for Gary as he teaches at the Staff/Faculty Retreat at the Bibelschule Brake Bible Institute in Lemgo, Germany this weekend. Many Brake grads join SEND International to serve all over the world. Pray for all SEND mobilizers this month as they visit campuses for mission focus weeks.

INTERNATIONALPraise God for many new workers in the pipeline from Latin America and the Philippines. Global Workers Initiative, a new capital campaign to help partially fund these workers will replace International Partners Fund. Ask God for a miracle to support 45 total workers from these regions in the next four years.

NORTH CENTRAL EUROPEThis week SEND’s North Central Europe Council meets to evaluate ministries and set future goals and direction. Please pray for unity from His Spirit, passion for His work, as well as discernment and obedience to follow His will.

SEND NORTHContinue to pray for SEND North leadership as we explore further expansion into Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Pray for the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to bring about a great awakening among the Native peoples of the 60-70 Window and revival among those who already know Jesus Christ as Lord.

POLAND Joshua JaveryPray for Joshua studying Polish, and many other SEND workers studying language in other countries. As they move deeper into study, seeking fluency, discouragement is normal. Pray for fluency, good pronunciation, a quick memory for vocabulary, a heart for insight into their host cultures, and wisdom and direction as they study.

JAPAN Mitsuo & Akiko Fujishima Tokyo — Pray for Mitsuo to teach all his subjects meaningfully and with fun. Pray that Akiko will encourage and disciple the women who come to her Bible classes. Also pray for guidance and provision as we get ready for Home Service.

HUNGARY Evan & Carrie ParksBudapest — Pray for Evan Parks as he speaks on “Who is really talking?” at a special Valentines dinner for married couples from local churches and the community.

TAIWAN Ver & Melody GarridoTaichung — Praise God! After one year of praying and meeting with our landlady for English conversation, she trusted Christ, together with our other neighbor. They study the Bible with our language helper. Pray that they will resolve the issues of ancestor worship in their families as they grow spiritually.

SEND U Ken GuentherWeek one of the online team leader orientation course starts tomorrow, and will run for five weeks. Pray for me as I facilitate the course for SEND and World Team field leaders who want to grow in their leadership skills.

JAPAN Lisa Sorley Okinawa — Pray for wisdom and strength for me as I teach 28 active 4th graders this year! A new student from Barcelona, Spain, just joined our class last month, and for many like him, school is the only place they hear the name of Jesus. May I shine His light brightly!

CZECH Alisha O’ReillyPray for my students to have open hearts and minds and for me to receive strength and joy from God for these connections. Praise God that my students are becoming more open-minded to Jesus, and are posing their own questions about who God is. Cool, cool, cool.

SOUTH EAST ASIAA number of Muslim background followers of Jesus are in arranged marriages with unbelievers. Pray for their godly witness, and for strength in the pressures they face daily. Pray for multiple community outreaches that are touching people with the love of Jesus.

CENTRAL ASIAPray for the discipleship training of men and women in Central Asia so that they can become spiritual leaders. Ask God to give the team appropriate methods of sharing biblical truth that integrate storytelling and audio learning for people who are not highly literate.

EAST ASIA SENDINGAt the third “SEND Me” fellowship tonight, members will share their calling testimonies and learn from one another. Pray that God will make this an edifying experience in their mission journey, that they will seek personal coaching, and that this will be a divine appointment they as encounter God personally.

HUNGARY Milks, Borton, Severns, WillisSHARE’s conference for missionary families in Europe runs February 25-March 1. We provide testing and educational support to whole families so they can continue to live overseas in areas where schooling is difficult. Pray for safe travel for families from 15 countries and funding to be able to attend.

SPAINPray for the new church planting team in Illescas, Toledo, with Pascuals and Hunters, and also for the Schlegels who have just returned to Spain to partner with a small church plant in the north. Ask God to open many doors for these teams to share the gospel.

RUSSIATransformation Christian Center is the only facility of its kind in the Central Black Soil Region south of Moscow. Ask the Lord to provide funds and labor to complete this center for camps, rehabilitation, Bible training, and new expanding ministries.

CHINA Resource TeamTwo TESOL certificate programs are in progress this month. Pray for the learners in their five week training, and also that God will provide teaching practicums for the learners to practice their skills. Many students are out of school at this time making practicums difficult.

EAST ASIA SENDINGPray for a Hong Kong church mission team serving in Iwate, Japan, February 26 - March 4. May they bring blessing and the hope of Jesus to people in the disaster-affected area. Pray also for the spiritual and logistical training of two other teams serving Iwate in April.

UKRAINE Sherri DivozzoKiev — A group of missionaries are taking the “Developing a Discerning Heart” training this week. Pray that God will bless as we study biblical principles of sanctification. Pray that this training will deepen our own walk with God and grow us to be better-equipped to disciple women for the Kingdom.
