AfricaFour Main Animals of Africa:

African Elephants: Largest land Animals, there are mammals, Stand 8-13 ft tall, live up to 70 yrs old.

Nile Crocodiles: This animal is a Reptile, they can be 16ft long, live up to 45 yrs old. It also is an endangered species

Warthogs: This animal is mammal, they are 3ft tall, live up to 15 yrs old. They are called Warthogs because their nose has warts all over it.

Mountain Gorillas: They are mammals, they are 4-6ft tall, live up to 35 yrs old. They are an endangered species

Antarctica

Seals: There are many different types of seals on Antarctica. To be specific the Weddell Seal, which is a mammal, it is about 10ft long, lives till about 30yrs old, they can stay under water for 45 minutes.

Emperor Penguin: This is a Bird, that stands about 4ft tall, lives about 15-20 yrs old, They can stay under water for over 20 minutes.

Asia

Komodo Dragon: They are Reptiles and largest lizards on earth, with a length of 10ft, weighing around 300 pounds. Also they live to be about 30 yrs old, they are also and endangered species.

Bengal Tiger: Tigers are Mammals, the Bengal tiger is 5 to 6ft tall, and lives about 10 yrs, they are also endangered. Did you know that their roar can be heard from up to a couple miles away.

Caracal: This is a mammal, that is 1 1/2 ft tall, about 35-50 pounds, It uses its ears to signal what he is doing, when its ears peak up he is alert, and when its ears are down it is preying for food.

Europe

Least Weasel: Smallest living carnivore. It is about 6-7 inches long, lives in grasslands, and bushy areas. This animal hisses at you when he feels in danger.

Fat Dormouse: This is a small mammal, that is about 40 cm with body and tail. It lives in gardens, houses and orchards.

Grizzly Bear: This is a mammal, that is 5 to 8 ft tall, weighs about 800 pounds, and lives to be 25 yrs old. Did you know the Grizzly bear can run 30 miles per hour.

American Alligator: This is a reptile, that is 10 to 15ft long, and weighs 1,000 pounds. This alligator lives to be 35-50 yrs old. Did you know the biggest American alligator reported was 19.8ft long.

• Bald Eagle: This is a bird, that is 34 to 43 in Wingspan, 6 to 8 ft and its Weight is 6.5 to 14 pounds, and lives to be 28 yrs old. Did you know that the largest bald eagle nest on record was 9.5 feet (3 meters) wide and 20 feet (6 meters) high. It weighed more than two tons.

South America

Anaconda: This is a reptile that is 20-30ft long, and weighs up to 550 pounds. Also the anaconda lives to be 10 years old. This is the biggest snake in the world.

Piranha: This is a fish that is 8 to 20 inches long and weigh up to 3 pounds. Also the Piranha is a vicious fish that attacks animals and humans in the water.

Jaguar: This is a mammal that is 6-7ft long and weighs 100 to 250 pounds, and lives to be 15 years old. The jaguar is an endangered species.

Oceania or AustraliaKangaroo: This is a mammal that is about 5 to 6 ft tall and can weigh up to 200

pounds. Also the Kangaroo can live to be 23 years old. Did you know a kangaroo can reach speeds of over 35 miles an hour. Their bounding gate allows them to cover 25 feet in a single leap and to jump 6 feet high.

Dingo: This is a mammal that is a legendary wild dog, that is 4 to 5 ft long and is 22 to 33 pounds. These golden or reddish-colored canids may live alone (especially young males) or in packs of up to ten animals. They roam great distances and communicate with wolf-like howls.

Koala bear: This is a mammal this is about 3 ft in size and weighs up to 20 pounds. Also the Koala can live up to 20 years old in the wild. Did you know Though often called the "koala bear," this cuddly animal is not a bear at all; it is a marsupial, or pouched mammal. After birth, a female carries a single baby in its pouch for about six months.
