A Mystery of Ruins An Interactive Fiction Writing Assignment The Task Either alone or with a collaborator, your assignment is to write a choose-your-own-ending style of mystery story in which your reader (your protagonist) is an explorer or archeologist who is exploring an ancient ruin (of any culture). You will be using the Interactive Fiction software called Twine to construct your story and the stories will be published in an online space. What Your Story Must Have The story must be told in second-person narrative point of view (reader is character) The story must have a beginning, middle and more than one ending The project must include an initial “ story tree” that shows the branches of the choices Setting has to be descriptive and have elements of historical accuracy There should be at least seven different branches to the story (although different branches can connect to a common ending) Each section (branch) of the story should be at least three to five sentences long NOTE: Keep death and violence to a minimum Assessment
