www.stgeorges.wa.edu.au On 1 March, the Inter-House Swimming Carnival was held at Bold Park Aquatics Centre. The atmosphere on the day was one of celebraon where studentsHouse spirit was electric. The affiliaon and unity amongst the St Georges students becomes parcularly evident on these carnival days. Students support, assist and cheer each other. Members of the public oſten comment on the level of excitement and fun expressed by our students and are so impressed by the way our students get involved and enjoy the day. We saw some high quality swimming races during the carnival with swimmers performing with excellent technique and power. This year, we had many students aending the morning training sessions and students are congratulated on their commitment and improvement. The novelty events proved to be extremely popular and were enjoyed by all. Thank you to the parents and families that came to Bold Park to spectate. It was great to see such a good turn out, and the students always appreciate your support. The event includes our unique 'Sync Swim' performance which is one of the highlights of the St Georges school year. Sync Swim encapsulates the camaraderie of House spirit and relies on the enre House coordinang together to perform synchronised routines. The performances were remarkable and so entertaining. Congratulations to the talented House Captains, House Coordinators and their teams of student leaders who worked relessly to achieve successful rounes. Mandelas performance was voted to be the best on the day, and they were awarded the Sync Swim Trophy for 2017. The Inter-House Swimming Carnival shield was also won by Mandela. The affiliation and unity amongst the St George’s students becomes particularly evident on these carnival days. Students support, assist and cheer each other. Members of the public often comment on the level of excitement and fun expressed by our students and are so impressed by the way our students get involved and enjoy the day.
