A partnership between the University of Chicago MRSEC and the Universidad de Chile and the University de Santiago de Chile brings Chilean students to the University of Chicago and University of Chicago students to Chile for materials research related to nonlinear dynamics. Both graduate students and undergraduate students from each institution have the opportunity to participate in this program. This partnership was established in 2003, and is co-funded by the NSF and the National Commission of Scientific and Technological Investigation of Chile, CONICYT.
