Intensive Paediatric Physiotherapy Programs Therasuit . Neurodevelopmental Therapy . Functional Intensive Training Thank you for your interest in Ocean Physiotherapy’s Intensive Physiotherapy Programs. Each of the programs are developed around your goals to maximize your child’s strengths and physical abilities. Programs are individually tailored to each child. Highly trained and experienced Paediatric Physiotherapists develop and run our programs at our Langwarrin clinic. The referral process is the same for each of our intensive therapy programs. 1. TheraSuit Intensive TheraSuit method for children aged 2.5 – 18years Suitable for children with low tone, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, developmental delay, down syndrome, ataxia, hypermobility syndromes and more The program is designed to increase your child’s global strength, motor control and body awareness to achieve a functional goal e.g. crawling, walking, running The program consists of UEU (Universal Exercise Unit), Strength training, Spider Cage, Powerplate, Functional skills training in the TheraSuit 3 hours per day, 5 days per week over 3 weeks Cost - $7000 2. NDT (Neurodevelopmental Therapy) Neurodevelopmental Therapy for Babies and Toddlers Suitable for babies and toddlers with developmental delays, gross motor delays, low tone, early diagnosis of cerebral palsy or brain injury or sensory processing concerns The programs consist of sensory and vestibular activities, primitive reflex patterning integration exercises, Powerplate vibration therapy, Neurodevelopmental therapy and Bobath techniques to work on rolling, sitting, crawling, transitions, standing and walking Ages 9 months – 2.5 years 1.5 - 2 hours per day, 5 days per week over 3 weeks or tailored to suit your child Cost - $5000 (2h day over 3 weeks)

1. TheraSuit

• Intensive TheraSuit method for children aged 2.5 – 18years • Suitable for children with low tone, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, developmental

2. NDT (Neurodevelopmental Therapy)

3. FIT (Functional Intensive Training)

• Functional skills training, intensive intervention for children and adolescents aged 5-18 wanting to improve strength, balance, posture and sport skills, including bike riding and running

• Suitable for children with postural concerns, weak muscles / strength deficits, motor planning and co-ordination difficulties, issues keeping up with their peers, abnormal gait or running style, low tone, hypermobile joints or any child with a specific goal

• Initially, the program consists of a thorough mobility and gait assessment and or sport skills assessment.

• Following this, a program of strength training, high level balance training, reflex integration, Powerplate vibration training, Clinical Pilates, Bobath techniques and hydrotherapy is utilized to achieve your child’s goal

• 2 hours per day, 4 days per week over 4 weeks • Options to custom design a program for your child • Cost – P.O.A

Program Terms and Conditions

1. You do not need a GP referral for our programs. You can enquire and refer your child using the steps below:

2. Download and complete Developmental History Document. Send back to us via details on the form – Fax, Email or Post

3. We will touch base with you following reviewing your developmental history form

to ascertain your child’s suitability for which program

4. An initial assessment session with a Senior Physiotherapist will then be scheduled with you and your child. This session will be at our Langwarrin Clinic at a cost of $180 to determine a baseline skill set for your child along with developing collaborative program goals. Furthermore, we may provide you with home program strategies to commence prior to your scheduled start date to maximize your child’s program outcomes.

5. Following this assessment, you will be required to place a 20% non-refundable

deposit to secure your child’s place on our schedule. We will send you an invoice with payment details

6. The remaining program balance is due 2 weeks prior to scheduled start date

7. We are registered Better Start and NDIS providers. You are welcome to use these

funding methods for your child’s program, along with Medicare Rebates and Private Health Insurance.

8. Once your child’s place is booked in, and your deposit is received you will receive

an information pack with everything you need to know about the program.
