Operational Capabilities Towards Full UAS Integration

Current North Dakota State Law :State Agencies are not allowed to purchase

“Aircraft” without Legislative Approval

Currently, a UAS is considered an Aircraft.In Session, there is a House Bill to allow

agencies to purchase an UASs.

North Dakota’s Missions:Mission 1: Media and Emergency Response

Mission 1 – Operations over People (in a controlled Airspace)

Xcel Energy will be our main partner along with Harris Corporation

Mission 2 – Beyond Visual Line of Sight(Leveraging the PSP)

We are currently leveraging the Partnership for Safety Program (PSP) with Xcel Energy who are inspecting Power Lines in a Rural Environment (Colorado) using a VAPOR 55 (Pulse Aerospace) going BVLOS.
