Description
General InformationThe calibration system CBS-SC5000 is suitable to check electric/electronic instruments and devices, providing the operator with a wide variety of AC and DC supplies and facilities to enable accurate measurements of the most common electric parameters. Instruments checked with system CBS-SC5000 includes DC powered electronic transmitters/converters, AC powered controllers, recorders and AC / DC devices like pressure and temperature switches, solenoid valves, relays, etc. The below table summarizes voltage outputs withtheir main features:

All components comply with international standards.
The left module contains most of the AC supply facilities. The upper part accommodates the main stabilizer, with 4.5 digits indicator for input/output voltages. The middle part is reserved to the variable AC supply, including the manual control, digital ammeter voltmeter and the automatic switch protected output socket. The lower part output sockets for isolated supplies. The base is equipped with an air circuit for cleaning purposes: pressure reducer, gauge and fl exible hose with air jet.
The right module contains in the upper part a 6.5 digits LCD multimeter to perform accurate measurements. The middle part provides low level supplies. AC and rectifi ed DC for those devices not requiring stabilised supply like relays, solenoid valves. etc. Adjustable DC stabilised supplies are located just below, together with the continuity check circuit suitable to test on/off equipment operation. The base plate includes four AC sockets connected to the main switch.

Electrical safety
The system CBS-SC5000 is featured for the electrical safety, including:
■ Main switch ■ Earth leakage circuit breaker to standard IEC-1010-
1 for personnel and fire protection by detecting an earth leakage fault current in excess of 30 mA and disconnecting the main supply within 200 ms
■ ‘Double isolation’ protection in connecting the external main supply to the system main switch, by completely enclosing live connections in an insulating case
■ Protective transparent covers over live connections inside the equipment
Air External “instrument air” (clean, dry and oil free) supply is required, at 7 bar pressure.The circuit includes a reducing valve, a pressure gauge and a flexible hose with air jet for cleaning purposes.
