• Since 2011, SAMBRA has commissioned market research to establish the ‘Best Insurer’ for the motor industry

• To determine the winner, motor body repairers are requested to evaluate insurers on a number of factors

• These scores are then combined into a weighted index on which the Insurers are ranked

• The questionnaire, weightings and scoring methodology has remained consistent to that used in the 2013 study

• A link to the online survey was e-mailed to all SAMBRA members• Members were then able to complete the survey online• Data were cleaned and analysed • Scores were calculated based on weights used previously

• Membership list provided by SAMBRA• 818 e-mails sent out containing link to survey• 8 reminders were sent out• Field period: 17 February 2015 – 7 April 2015• 319 usable questionnaires were completed

• Note that all the 13 major insurers included in the previous study were included in this round

• In addition, 15% of the sample spontaneously mentioned doing business with Renasa since January 2014, so it was decided to include Renasa in the results

• Remaining “other” mentions have not been included as their incidence of mention was deemed to be too small to be relevant
