M.L Stedman’s best seller tells the story of an Australian World War I vet, a lighthouse
keeper, and his wife. After rescuing a baby from a rowboat that washes ashore, the couple decides to keep her against the vet’s better judgment. But where is the baby’s mother? Our book club will meet on Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30 pm. If
you haven’t purchased your copy of our current book, The Light Between Oceans, by M. L. Stedman, you still have plenty of time. You can also get a download for your Kindle or other tablet
so you can read whenever you have a chance!.
Have you purchased your ticket for a chance to win
a brand new Mercedes Benz CLA 250 sedan or GLA 250 SUV? There isn’t
anyone in this church who wouldn’t look good driving either one of these vehicles
and you would also be helping Dallas Black Tie and your church with the purchase of a
ticket. For $100, you could be driving one of these great vehicles.
Contact the church office for more info.
We will be making a banner for our church. This banner will consist of pieces of fabric from you. We ask you to choose
something that represents you or a loved one. We want something that holds special significance for you. Please bring
your fabric with a note attached explaining the story behind your fabric. Please hand your fabric to Reverend West or to a member of staff. Our goal is a piece of fabric from each person at Celebration
that tells our story as a church family. Get your fabric in soon!
Biscuits & Bible Join us every Sunday morning at 9:15am for
Biscuits & Coffee, then stick
around for our Bible study beginning at 9:45am.
It is a wonderful time of learning, introspection and
fellowship with your church family.
We hope to see you there!

All we can say is WOW! We asked you for school supplies for low income
children and you heard the call. You brought over 25 boxes over 25 boxes over 25 boxes over 25 boxes worth of
school supplies! We delivered the supplies to
DeZavala Elementary School this past Monday and they were just THRILLED to receive so many boxes filled to the brim with desperately needed school supplies.
THANK YOU! for your generosity!
What is Cowtown Brush Up, you may ask. “Cowtown Brush Up (CTBU) is one of the
most successful revitalization programs in Fort Worth. In 1991, 33 homes in low-income neighborhoods were given a fresh coat of paint, which in turn enhanced the image of the neighborhoods.
Since then, more than 2,400 homes have been painted.” On Saturday, October 1st, our church has an opportunity to become a part of this wonderful program. Now, we KNOW that is a crazy
busy weekend. There is Black Tie. There is Pride Parade. We also know that some of our congregation does not always participate in these events. So, if you aren’t attending Black Tie or participating in this year’s Pride parade and would like to help paint a house, please write “PAINT” “PAINT” “PAINT” “PAINT” in the Redbook as it is passed. We need about 15
people. We will contact you with more information.
We need people to walk with us in the PRIDE Parade! If you would like to
walk with us to represent Celebration, Write “WALKER” “WALKER” “WALKER” “WALKER” in the Redbook as it is passed. Stay tuned for information
on meeting time, etc for the day of the parade!
