Parameters – IM Program Structure

• Team Music

– Students have two lessons a week– One in ensemble– One in small group

• Years 4 – 12 (woodwind, brass and percussion)• Years 3 – 12 (strings)• Clusters – primary/secondary feeder schools

• FTE = 99.4

• Teachers’ Award– Hours of duty, Extra curricular expectations

• MAXIMUM– 20 performances outside school time per year– 5 hours per week rehearsal– 8 parent/recruitment nights– 5 nights camps

• Need to coordinate circuit in advance

• 5.6 students per group • (45 students per day primary, 40 P-12, 35 secondary)

• Range 3 – 10 students (NO INDIVIDUAL LESSONS)• Band 7 Schools and above• IMONLINE for smaller schools• Minimum numbers of students (15)• Minimum allocation for 5% of school enrolment,

• (dependent on IM enrolments)• Maximum allocation for 20% of school enrolment• Schools can add time

• The report format is; – Achievement A-E – Effort A-E – Comments three strands; literacy, technique and performance

Changes for 2015

• Secondary schools – receive additional time to accommodate Year 7 students

• Primary schools– Band (woodwind/brass/percussion) Program expanded

to start at Year 4. Allocations for three cohorts– Strings Years 3-6. Time provided for Year 7s reallocated

with them to secondary schools

• Most teachers’ circuits will change for 2015
