Figure 1 This instruction sheet provides installation procedures for NETCONNECT Undercarpet Multimedia Dual Data Kit 1479542–1. The NETCONNECT Undercarpet Multimedia Dual Data Kit consists of a cover, a baseplate, and four oval–head screws to use when mounting the cover. Foam tape is attacked to the underside of the baseplate. This kit can be used for undercarpet applications and underfloor duct systems. The baseplate can be mounted using one of two methods (mounting hardware/foam tape). If using mounting hardware (customer supplied), proceed as follows: 1. Center baseplate on reference line and mark hole locations. 2. Drill holes to accept mounting hardware. 3. Vacuum debris. Insert hardware. Figure 2 If using foam tape, proceed as follows: 1. Vacuum debris. 2. Peel back the release paper on the tape. 3. Position baseplate in desired location. Press firmly to secure. Proceed as follows:

1. After wiring is complete, snap the single portoutlet into the bottom of the cover. See Figure 5.

2. Attach the outlet to the cover by inserting twoNo. 2 screws into two diagonal posts on thehousing. See Figure 6.

3. Align faceplate and press on from the FRONT ofthe housing. See Figure 7.

Proceed as follows:

1. After wiring is complete for jack applications,snap the modular jack into the appropriate openingin the baseplate. Refer to Figure 9.

2. Terminate SVGA connector according to colorcode on connecting blocks. Assemble connector tobaseplate using hex standoff screws. SeeFigure 10.

1. Align the screw holes in the cover with the postson the baseplate.

2. Secure by inserting the oval–head screws.

3. Tighten screws.
