When a magazine is published there are legal and ethical issues that I would need to consider. I would need to make sure that my magazine follows these constraints as they are a warning to what I am allowed to publish. Legal Issues Only allows the magazine to be published if it is accurate and the images are correctly laid out. Ethical IssuesIf my magazine gives a wrong representation of something it could damage the brand and the publishers reputation.

PRIVACY ISSUES Private life, family life, home and health, of the celebrities should not be published, even though the media violates this. When publishing a photo of a person, there permission is needed. It is unacceptable to photograph individuals, in public or private places, without expectation of privacy.

HARASSMENT Journalists must not engage in intimidation or harassment.

DISCRIMINATION - Prejudicial reference to an individuals race, color, religion , sex, gender identity , mental health, disability or sexual orientation must be avoided in a magazine , unless it is relevant to the story.

ON SCHOOL SITESWhen taking photographs of students on school sites you would need permission off the school and off the pupil if the photo was to get published. If the child is under 16 then but not be photographed and put onto a magazine unless an adult consents. Cant publish about child’s private life.

PRESS COMPLAINTS COMMISSION ADVERTISEMENTSTANDARD AGENCY

They control what can and cant be advertised on the magazine. The control marketing campaigns and deal with complaints involving those subjects. For example if someone complained about a certain advertisment on a magazine then they would have to complain and raise the issue with ASA. Press Complaints Commission monitors what the magazine companies publish in there magazine they decide what can be published and what cant be. They will do this by the editors code. The editors code is: is a rule that the magazines should be accurate and not have distorted images or text.
