Projects. Participation in the International programmes

Electrical Neuronal Oscillations and CognitionENOC http://www.mii.lt/enoc

The project is pursued in line with the international scientific programme COST B27.

Scientific research is supported by the Agency for International Science and Technology Development Programmes in Lithuania

In this program take part more than 40 institutions from all EU countries. Lithuania is represented by two institutions: Institute of Mathematics and Informatics and Institute of Psychophysiology and Rehabilitation (Kaunas Medical University). The subject of research of Lithuanian partners is relations between the parameters or heart rate and the states of the central nervous system defined as the sleep stages. The main result of IMI: adaptation of the methods of visualization of multidimensional data to the investigation of the relations mentioned above.

Usage of Lithuanian characters in e-mail messages

http://www.liks.lt/elpaliet/

There emerges more discomfort for those e-mail users who write (or read) in Lithuanian than for those who use other copmputer programs. Elekcronic messages are sent to other people using different mail programs. Therefore the programs of all the correspondents have to be properly adapted. IMI employees together with the Lithuanian Computer Society have set up a web-page with practical advice for e-mail programs users as well as the most suitable e-mail programs and advice how to fit them for work with Lithuanian characters.
