ANNUAL General MEETING
The essential meeting held on 22.4.2013 at the Organization’s Head office in the evening
at 4:30 P.M. under the Chairmanship of Dr. Anita Srivastava. All the members of the
society are present. Quorum of the attendance of the office bearers was completed.
After welcoming all members, worker and guest Ms. Renu Bala Secretary, of the
organisation requested the chairman to take the chair so that the meeting may be started.
After occupying the chair by chairman, Secretary, addressed the members and wished for
the new Successful Financial Year. During the Last Financial year ending on 31st March,
2013 the organisation has carried out several activities.
Out of the different Activities one Training Program of Manufacturing/ Servicing of
Electronics Products under the Skill Development program sponsored by Institution’s
Technical Training Dept. is going to be started from 8th of May.2012. The selection process
was completed. In the process of selection first Selection was done on 12.3.2012 in this
selection process 13 students were selected and for the completion of No. of students(25
Nos.,) second Interview is to be organised on 25th of April-12. The information is sent and
still reply is awaited from some the Sr. Technical Officers of Technical dept., IICE. The
program, to attend and participate as the member of selection committee.
The chairman further emphasized upon the significant achievements of the society
during the period and asked Secretary Ms. Renu Bala to take further essential action
required to implement the AHVY program and to inform for this to the Regional Director,
Handicrafts, Ministry of Textile Govt. of India. at the earliest, Further Sri. Dr. Anita
Srivastavatalked about the future plans of society. The achievements of the society during
the consideration were in form of successful implementation and handling of the program
as per the required norms. Further Dr. Anita Srivastava asked Secretary, Ms. Renu Bala to
Explore the Annual Report.

After chairman, Secretary, addressed the members that during the period ending
on 31st March, 2013 the organisation has carried out several activities. After that the
copy of the audited accounts were distributed among the members showing the Receipts
and payments during the referred period of last year. The turnover of the society has
been during the year 2012-13 is Rs.
The achievements of the society during the consideration were in form of successful
implementation and handling of the program as below:
1. CONSUMER WELFARE PROGRAMME
A consumer awareness camp was organised at Convention Centre at Indira Nagar,
Lucknow. IICE Organised this program to make them aware of the rights available
under the consumer protection Act, 1986. The programme was highly appreciated
by the attendants of the programme. It is generally found
that the consumers, despite of paying competitive prices are offered low quality
products by the companies. Through the products are packed in very attractive
packages but, their quality happens to be very low. This way, consumers get
cheated every day by the producers and sellers. The situation is not too different

in the cases of services also. The attendants of the programme were explained
various remedies available to them under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and
the rules and procedures for filling the suit way and manner of filling the appeals.
Further, they were given names and addresses of different consumers
associations whom they can contact in case of need.
2. VOCATIONAL & HANDICRAFT TRAINING PROGRAMME

Keeping in the mind the objectives of removal of poverty by reducing the
problem of employment the society has been instrumental in taking various
concrete steps in the direction of removal of poverty. Society has started a
vocational training programme at regional office of IICE at The. Mishrikh,
Distt. Sitapur. About 150 beneficiaries of women and youths are provided
training in the different field like screen printing training programme,

beauty parlour training programme computer training programme, knitting
and tailoring , chicken embroidery, secretarial practice training programme,
type and shorthand, food processing, readymade garments and fashion
designing etc. by experience trainers. In this centre trainees are provided
training in field manual arts known as handicrafts. The main aim of this
programme is to make the trainees so skilled that they may become self
dependants and stand on their own feet.
3. ANIMAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The society has been continuously engaged in the animal welfare
programmes. To reduce the cruelly on the animals the society has organised
two campaigns during the financial year under consideration. Promotion of
vegetarianism can be the just successful weapon in reducing the killings of the
animals. The society has taken lead in promotion of vegetarianism.. Apart
from this the society also provides shelter and cure to the stray and wounded
animals.

4. AIDS /CANCER CONTROL PROGRAMME
No disease has every ended the life, the way AIDS does HIV has become the
biggest challenge before the man kind. Because it is an infectious disease, the
danger that it poses is immense. The only way to escape AIDS is to be aware
of all the ways in which AIDS can effect a human being.
A camp was organised at branch office 85-A, Raipur, Maharshi Nagar
Extension, IIM Road, Lucknow of IICE by the Society to educate people about
the causes of AIDS and the precautions that one should take at the time of
taking injections, blood etc, beside this the experts also described in details
the reasons for cancer and the precautions needed to be taken generally to
remain safe from cancer. The Awareness campaign against cancer included
road shows and small meetings in the villages.
5. DRUG DE-ADDICTION AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The society has been conducting camps in Chinhat block, Lucknow aimed at
raising awareness about the bad effects of the alcoholism and drinking. The
volunteers of the society went into the villages to raise consciousness about

the effects of smoking and drinking and use of tobacco. Help of posters and banners was taken to make the presentation. Apart from above, the persons who have given up the habit of drinking encourage people to follow their path and the restraint that one needs to take to give up this habit.
6. CHILD/WOMEN LABOUR WELFARE PROGRAMME A program on women & child labour was organised at Gram Goela, Distt.
Lucknow of IICE by the Society on Labour Day at District. In this programme the volunteers aware the public about women/ child labour and told them about labour act to the participants.

7. CHILD HEALTH CARE AWARENSS PROGRAMME
An awareness generation programme aimed at making women aware from
about their health needs and nutrition was organised at branch office 85-A,
Raipur, Maharshi Nagar Extension, IIM Road, Lucknow of IICE by the society.
This programme was organised by the rural women I large number and it was
felt by the attendant that this kind of programmes are very useful in our
villages where women were aware about their health needs a very low.
Further they were informed about various kinds of schemes formed and
executed by the different Govt. Departments for welfare of the women
either, it is in education, employment or technical guidance etc.

CHILD HEALTH CARE AWARENSS PROGRAMME
The women participating in the programme were informed about need for
education in the self reliance of the women. They realized the need for
education and agreed to send their children particularly the girl child to
school.
Further, it was resolved that the society will further organised similar
programmes in the near future.
7. SC, ST, OBC’s AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Despite of passing of so many years after the independence Scheduled Caste,
Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward Classes have yet been associated in the
main stream of the society.

SC, ST, OBC’s AWARENESS PROGRAMME Expert’s Comments
They still need a lot of support a not only from the Government but also from
the society and NGO’s. In order to provide them vocational training
programme based on Technology, i.e. ‘ Developments in Technology and
participation of SC, ST, OBC youths’ was organised by the IICE in Lucknow.
Understanding its responsibility the Society has organised a number of
programmes targeted at the welfare of the SC/ST/OBC/Minority. Providing
them technical and financial help in setting up their own business and
pursuing higher studies.
8. WOMEN WELFARE & COUNSELIG CENTRE
To help the women society establish a short stay home & family centre in
different areas of district to settled the needy women on temporary basis and
tries to help them by solving their problems that they became able to settled
in their family again and became self dependant. Program was organised with
the coordination of Adhar Shila.

9. PROGRAMME ON WOMEN RIGHT & DOWRY SYSTEM
The society has organised a programme on women right at District Barabanki
In this programme was attended by a member of women participants. The
NGO’s and the member of society told about the fundamental rights of the
women and also ask to educate all the women in rural and urban areas to
stand face a problem which always happens in their lives time to time. Even in
the terms of her education anticipation or her marriage life due to the dowry
curse.
The Secretary Renu Bala focused on education to all and their children and
Smt. Pushpa Balmiki expressed her feelings in favour of dowry effected
women in the community.

10. PROGRAMME ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION
The program on National Integration was organised at registered office A-
1579, Indira Nagar, Lucknow by the society to arouse the feeling of
Patriotisms and always ready to help the human kind and any where at any
time. Children and School Participants had organized program from Block
Chinhet with the help and association of cultural program organizing society
form the chinhet block who is associated with IICE network.
I.G. Police Sri. Darapuri has been called upon as chief Guest.

PROGRAMME ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION
11. FAMILY PLANNING A WARENESS CAMP
THE population of our country surpassed 100 crores. This over
population is destroying all the developmental processes. Lack of resources,
food water, job, health care facilities, schools and thousands of other
problems owe their origins to this over population. The awareness about the

benefits of having a very small family is still very low in our country
particularly in the areas of the capitol of Uttar Pradesh where the population
density is disproportionately high.
Considering very high level of reluctance on part of the villages to adapt the
family planning methods the population explosion has taken place causing
deterioration in the available sources like Food, Education, Housing,
Employment etc. A camp was organised by the society at block of district to raise
awareness about the bad effects of the disproportionate growth the population.
Help of audio visual techniques was taken to make the presentation more
effective. At the end of the camp condoms and contraceptive pills were
distributed among the villagers.
1. EDUCATIONAL & LITERACY PROGRAMME
Considering very high level of child literacy the society has started with the
help of the volunteers organising at branch office 85-A, Raipur, Maharshi
Nagar Extension, IIM Road, Lucknow of IICE boys and girls education
programmes on regular basis at District.
Considering the huge success in organising these programmes the society has
continuously been distributing necessary books free of cost to the participants
of this programme.
The participants of this programme were benefited largely and parents of the
participating children were agreed to encourage others to join these
programmes aimed at welfare of the masses.

EDUCATIONAL & LITERACY PROGRAMME- Secretary Ms. Renu Bala with participants
Further, the society has decided to establish a school in the area of cater to
the educational needs of the local people. Attempts are being made to
generate funds of the same purpose as and when the management funds it
practical it will start working on the project.
2. PROGRAMME ON FORESTRY
A programme on Social Forestry was organised branch office 85-A, Raipur,
Maharshi Nagar Extension, IIM Road, Lucknow of IICE by the member of
Society to aware about the importance of unpolluted environment. About
200 plants were distributed to beneficiaries for plantation.

The society has contributed to old age persons care centre and like to aware
the people about these centre and says to always tries to help these persons
by several ways. The program was organized in distt. Bijnor.
The society organised a welfare programme for senior citizen. The members
of society told about old age homes and its benefits which helps our senior
citizens and solves their problems, the programme was appreciated by the
public.
16 PULSE POLIO AWARENESS CAMP
Despite of so many claims made by the Government Authorities it is true that
has not been possible to eradicate polio from the country. Considering the
responsibility, the society organised camps of polio vaccination & drops of
medicines branch office 85-A, Raipur, Maharshi Nagar Extension, IIM Road, of
IICE in District Lucknow. On this occasion a large number of children were
vaccinated by the volunteers of the society.

17 Skill Development Program on ZARI WORK The society organised the Skill Development camps in Tehsil Mishrikh, Distt. Sitapur for Zari work and 30 number of trainees participated in the Camp. The program was sponsored by ‘Ministry of Textile’ Govt. of India under the ‘Ambedkar Hast shilp Vikas Yojna’ (AHVY) This has enhanced the society’s object for Employment Generation and making youths self dependant.

18. EXP. ON CHICKEN WORK The society organised various training camps at
Sitapur Road, Lucknow for Chicken work and a large number of trainees
participated in the same. This has enhanced the society’s object for
Employment Generation and making youths self dependant.

19. Computer training programme-
The objectives of Organisation. The training being run to fulfil the basic
requirements of job orientation and self dependency. The Social service Division

The Students trained by the Organisation are being given required
guidance and referral services for their self unit establishment seeking for
job opportunities. The ratio of successful students who they have achieved

19. WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY: In order to Achieve the
objectives of the Organisation Environment Awareness Compaign was
organised on the world Environment Day on 5th June. At the Regional
Office of the Organisation at Maharshi Nagar Ext. Raipur, IIM Road,
Lucknow. On the occasion Environment Experts, Sociologist, Educationists,
Scientists, Physicians participated. They also delivered lectures on the
subject matter of their Expertise.

Students, Teachers, Public Representatives, Public Openion Leaders also
participated the program. Lectures of Experties was focused on
precautions about pollution and importance of Environment conservation
for better and pollution less survivals. All participant appreciated the
programme and tribute their gratitude for organizing this beneficial
programme.about 500people attended the programme.
NREGA- National Rural Employment Guarantee Act-2005:
THE society carried out its activities under the NREGA program for KASA and Adharshila,
A Social Welfare Activists, with them IICE has carried out the Awareness program and
survey in Distt. Barabanki. Through The report has carried out that the unskilled labour
who were to provide the employment for 100 days in the financial year. The registered
labour may get local employment within 15 on demand.

IICE surveyed and got provided job Cards to whom it was not provided and submitted the
report with ‘ the amount which is being provided is Rs.58/- for the labour but in the city
they get Min. 180/- per day so the success of the program is about 50%. The rate per day
has to be revised.

DRINKING WATER, SANITATION & HYGIENE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Drinking water, Sanitation & Hygiene Awareness Programme was organised at
vill. Raipur Near branch office 85-A, Raipur Road, Maharshi Nagar Extension,
IIM Road, Lucknow of IICE by the society. The main aim of the society is to
provide pure and clear water, so the wells, tube wells and ponds were cleared
by the help of the members of the society.
The members of the society aware the public water which they use and
society also has been very active in the field of raising awareness about good
sanitation facilities in the slum areas.
Lack of good sanitation facilities is curse for the majority of the urban
population disproportionately increasing.
Population has made the situation more worse. All the efforts made by the
civic authorise have failed to achieve the targets. There is need for voluntary

organisation to come forward and help the civic authorities in providing
sanitation facilities to more and more people.
Our society has created various sanitation infrastructures during previous
financial year and further it organised various cleanness drives in various
localities.

Above mentioned programme was organized at Mishrikh Block, in Sitapur
aware and educate to rural people for best utilization of locally available
infrastructural facilities including their knowledge up-gradation regarding
schemes and project conducted by Central/state Govt. Deptt. Guest speaker
told about various beneficial scheme for formers /SC/ST /Minorities /BPL
category. Agricultural scientist, Sociologist, Educationist, Students Teachers
attended the programme .participant tribute their gratitude to the organization
for organizing this beneficial programme.
This was the last report, Secretary requested the Members of the Society to
express their views if they want to comment on any issue.

Secretary of the Organization
Mrs. Renu Bala, is a qualified up to PG., She has completed her
education up to Post Graduation, She is a dynamic lady willing and
determined to work for the poor specially for the ladies and children
from any community. To make them aware of their rights and how to
find out the way to the growth. The community is suffering from the
problem of land deprivation of the initial rights of the women,
educational part which is not basically available for them to teach
them their rights, to get rid off from superstitions, caste
discrimination, un employment , child labour and migration to the
different states for employment.
She has worked in different communities i.e. backward classes ,
Schedule Casts, Minority Problems and worked independently in
rural areas of ‘ Haider garh, Sultanpur Road , in the Loni-katra
village, Dhaurahara and adjoining villages.’ On Sultan pur road. She
has effectively worked :
To Organize the women groups in different Community.
To make them Aware for their rights and to bring them out of the
kitchen and to put them in front even in social life and in terms of
education too.
To teach them to be aware of the opportunities and to make them self-dependent to over come from the financial crisis.

Reasons to minimum wages and unequal wages to dalit women. Creating awareness regarding their rights and issues among the women for specially concern with the dalit women. To get them aware of the different programs being run for their welfare. Subjective issues and to work on them with the attitude of team work. To make different groups for the different matters in dalit women to work for the dalit movements.
