• Large-scale center within the College of Engineering, possibly including non-COE resources– Aerospace and Ocean - space systems, dynamics and
control, propulsion, structures– Civil and Environmental - structures, applications– Electrical and Computer - communications, computing,
control, global positioning system, power– Engineering Science and Mechanics - structures,
dynamics– Industrial and Systems - systems engineering, modeling
and simulation– Mechanical - structures, mechanisms, dynamics and
control
• Offer B.S. and M.S. programs, possible Ph.D.• Focus on multi-disciplinary analysis and design of
spacecraft• Potential customers: DoD, NASA, Industry, Foreign
countries

Graduate Program CurriculumTwo-year M.S. Program
• Thesis option– 8 courses, 2 per semester, thesis committee includes
members from 3 departments
• Non-thesis option– 12 courses, 3 per semester, final exam administered by
members from 3 departments
• Affiliated departments offer at least one relevant course per semester
• Some courses have introductory and advanced versions (e.g., Introduction to Satellite Communications for non-ECpE majors, and Satellite Communications for ECpE majors)
