These are the instructions to install the Showare Active X on Windows 8. This guide assumes you

have already installed and tested the printer on the computer you are using.

First go to the customer’s admin page and change it to compatibility mode. It will not work

without this step

Next get to the internet options by clicking the gear in the top right and choosing internet

options

1) Go to Security>Trusted Sites and click the Sites button

2) Uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https) for all sites in the zone>add>close

3) Move the security bar down to “low” and apply settings

Now change Printer and you will be prompted to install the ActiveX you may need to wait a

minute or refresh the page to have it work.

Now the ActiveX is installed and you just have to set up the printer like normal

Change Printer>Choose the HP Laserjet IIP Plus> Print Calibration test to test the printer
