Operating Systems Microsoft Windows XP/VISTA/7, Linux

JIRA JIRA 4.0 - 4.4

Java Platform Sun/Oracle JDK / JRE 1.6 (update 10 or higher)

Application Servers Apache Tomcat 6.0 or later

Databases MySQL 5.x OR later, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008

Prerequisites for Rmsis-1.3.0 and later

1. Install JIRA (4.0 – 4.4), if not already done so2. Create database for RMsis 3. Install JIRA plugin for RMsis

◦ using JIRA Universal Plugin Manager ◦ Plugin is available as jira-rmsis.x.y.z.jar, where “x.y.z” is

the version number

4. Activate License

Steps for Installation - RMsis 1.3.0 and later

A stable and complete JIRA installation is prerequisite for RMsis installation.

If JIRA is not installed, then please refer http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA044/JIRA+Installation+and+Upgrade+Guide

We would like to recommend not using HSQLDB, since it can lead to data loss in case of abnormal termination.

Ensure JIRA is installed

1. Login

2. Create database {say “rmsis”}

3. Grant permissions

Click icon to add picture

Get URL for the desired version of RMsis from http://products.optimizory.com/rmsis/download

Install RMsis using JIRA Universal Plugin Manager

Select Internal Database for Trials, for ease of setup.

For production systems, create a Database as suggested earlier.

Enter details here Test Connection with the Database.

Configure the Database

This is optional.

If configured, Test Connection with mail server.

Configure Mail

Both HTTP and HTTPS supported.

Configure JIRA Internal URL and Test Connection.

Optional Reverse Proxy support.

Configure RMsis Server

Login into crm.optimizory.com

Select number of users

Agree to Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy

Click on proceed to generate trial license

Generate and copy trial license from CRM

rmsis.x.x.jar) Activate License

Brief Steps

1. Login

2. Create database {say “rmsis”}

3. Grant permissions

JIRA Home◦ Specified during JIRA installation◦ Contains JIRA specific information (logs, settings

etc.) Application server directories

◦ Tomcat CATALINA_HOME – {TOMCAT INSTALATION} Webapps – {TOMCAT_INSTALLATION}/webapps

Environment

1. Extract the downloaded rmsis-x.x.x.zip

2. Run setup.bat (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux)

3. Specify RMSIS_HOME when prompted

4. Copy the regenerated rm.war into webapps directory

Deploy RMsis Application

1. Copy the RMsis plugin for JIRA to the $JIRA_HOME/plugins/installed_plugins

2. Restart JIRA

Install JIRA Plugin

Login to JIRA using admin login

Click on RMsis menu

System will prompt for RMsis base URLSpecify full path of RMsis web application context.

System will prompt for license keyChoose between “RMsis Evaluation License Key” or “RMsis Production License

Key”.

Login to Optimizory web site to get the license

System code will be picked automatically

Enter number of users and click on “Proceed” button

Copy the license key

Paste license key in RMsis and click on “Submit” button

License expiry and type information will be displayed

Congratulations !!! You can activated license successfully !!
