Requirements
Product data sheet
Three aspects of an object
• In accordance with ISO 12006-2, ISO/IEC 81346-1 and other parts of ISO/IEC 81346 series.
• Functional Breakdown Structure (FBS) describes the object based on what task the object has in a system. Basis for all requirement management. Prefix for FBS =
• Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) describes the occurrence of a specific product. Basis for effective procurement, spare-part management and plant traceability on instance level. Prefix for PBS -
• Location Breakdown Structure (LBS) describes the physical location of the object. Prefix for LBS +
• An object is a discrete entity that can be perceived from a functional, physical or spatial perspective.
• For example a pump: The pump has (system) requirements, is controlled by an automation system, is mounted at a specific place on a production line and there is a spare in stock.

production.

Cost calculation using BIM
• We use BIP
• Then we can use the BIM-model more efficient in our cost calculation programs
• We save time and get a better tender
Cost calculation usin BIM
• BIP makes it easier to use BIM models for costcalculation
• We are able to structure information• System
• Mounting
• Material
• Length, height, pieces etc.
BIP – Building information properties
• Started 2011 by BIM Alliance
• All major consulting companies are represented in the working group
• Standardizes information in BIM models
Using BIP in cost calculation
• We can calculate costs in big projects faster withBIP than with traditional methods
• Our software can read information from IFC modelswith BIP
Cost calculation with BIM saves time
• We have tested different methods for quantity takeoff in a few projects
• You can trust the quantities from the models. The difference was less than 1 percent between the methods
Using 3D object models to succeed in projects
• Biomedicum, one of Europe's largest and most modern laboratories.
• Construction start 2013
• Final inspection 2018
Using 3D object models to succeed in projects
• Very complex installations
• Budget: approximately 200.000 working hours for ventilation and plumbing
Using 3D object models to succeed in projects
• To be able to do the construction according to plans, we had to use 3D object models of the building
• The model was split per floor
• We needed fewer sections
Using 3D object models to succeed in projects
• One iPad per two workers
• The 3D model was as important as any other tools for the workers
• Most of our fittings needed no corrections
• We saved a lot of time and delivered very high quality
