4.Beforeplacingdrop-incooktopintocabinet,determinewhichoneofthethreeknockoutopeningsintheburnerbox(leftside,rightsideorrear)willbeusedforroutingofthegassupplytubingtothepressureregulator.Aftermakingselection,knockoutthe1inchplug.Placedrop-incooktopintothepreparedopeningandsecuretocabinetwithfour(4)woodscrews.(Notprovided)

5. Routegaslinethroughopeninginburnerboxandconnectthegaslinetothe3/8”flarefitting inside theburnerbox.Placenylonbushingovergas lineandinsertbushingintoopeninginburnerbox.

CAUTION: Gas supply tubing within the confines of the appliance connection shall be rigid or semi-regid metallic tubing.6. Besureallopeningsinthecabinetryaroundthegaslinearesealedattimeofinstallation.

CAUTION: It is imperative that the cabinet in which the cook top is placed be separated from other appliances so that the combustion air supply to the top burners can not be affected in any way by any forced-air heating appliance or its return air system or by any other source of positive or negative air pressure. A negative air pressure created by another forced air appliance may draw the flame down around the top burners and into the cook top resulting in damage to the burners and cook top, as well as possible personal injury and/or damage to vehicle. A positive draft could cause the burner flame to lift-off the burner and go out resulting in an uncontrolled escape of gas. Whenever the gas fumes reach an open flame or another ignition source, an explosion and/or fire will occur resulting in property damage, personal injury and/or loss of life.

7. Be sure burner knobs are in “off” position. Turn on gas supply. Check allconnectionsforleaks.

WARNING: Never check for leaks with an open flame. Apply a soap and water solution to all joints to see if bubbles are formed.

NOTE: The appliance must be disconnected from the gas supply pipingsystemduringanypressure testingof that systemat testpressure inexcessof1/2PSIG.

8. Removethetopandthegrate(s)fromtheirpacking-Installthegrate(s)onthetop.9. Position the top over the burners and secure in placewith two (2) thumbscrewsandtwo(2)nylonwashersprovided.

10. Your Suburban Drop-in Cook top is now ready for operation. Beforeoperating, read thesafety informationandoperating instructionscontained inthismanual.

11. If installation of this product is in a portable counter top, the followingadditionalguidelinesmustbefollowed:

a. Portable counter top is provided b installer andmust be able tosupportaminimumweightof20lbs.

b. OEMmustprovidea labelplacedon thecounter top that clearlystatesthemaximumweightthatcanbeaddedtotheportablecountertopafter installation. (Thisshould take intoaccount theweightof thecookingunit-20lbs).

WARNING! NEVER use this appliance as a space heater to heat or warm the room. Doing so may result in carbon monoxide poisoning and overheating of the appliance.

3. If the cook top is near a window, proper precautions should be taken topreventcurtainsfromblowingoverburnerscreatingafirehazard.4. Keep the area around the cook top clean and clear of any combustiblematerials,gasolineorotherflammablevaporsandliquids.5. Donotleavechildrenaloneorunsupervisedinareawherecooktopisbeingused.Thetopburners,burnergratesandotherareasneartheburnersbecomehotenoughtocausesevereburns.6. Childrenshouldbetaughtthatthecooktopisnotatoy.Theyshouldnotbeallowedtoplaywiththecontrolsoranyotherpartsoftheappliance.7. Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above or near thecooktop.Childrenclimbingontheappliancetoreachitemscouldbeseriouslyinjured.8. Turnpanhandlesinwardortowardbackofcooktopandoutofthewayofpeoplewalkingpastcook topand/oroutof the reachofchildren.Donot turnhandlestowheretheyareovertheburners.14. Donotusewaterongreasefires.Neverpick-upaflamingpan.Smothera flaming panwith a lid or flat pan. Flaming grease outside the pan can beextinguishedwithbakingsodaoramultipurposedrychemicalfireextinguisher.15.Neverleavetopburner(s)unattended.

a. Neverextendtheflamebeyondtheouteredgeoftheutensil.Ahigherflamesimplywastesheatandenergy.b.Correctflamesizeisdeterminedbyutensilsizeandmaterial,whatyouarecookingandwhetherornotyouarecookingwithliquid.

17. Topreventdamagetothecooktop,topburners,ortopgrate,neveroperateatopburnerwithoutapaninplace.Thetopburners,especiallythehighinputburner(ifequipped),shouldnotbeoperatedonhighforanextendedperiodoftime.Usethehighflamesettingtobegin,thenreducetheflametoalowersettingtocontinuecooking.Neverusecookwarewhichextendsbeyondoneinchofthegrate,or restsover twooperating topburners.Thiswillcauseexcessiveheatbuild-upwhichresultsindamagetothegrate,topburner,andcooktop.

1. Knowwhichknobcontrolswhichburner.Alwaysbesurethecorrectburneristurnedon.2. Depressknobandturnfullycounter-clockwise to“Lite”position. a. Verify sufficient gas supply before attempting to light the burner. Air

in thegas linewill significantlydelayburner ignition.Theburnermay lightunexpectedlyas theair in the line clearsand is replacedbyLPgas.Thisunexpectedignitioncouldburnyou.Airinthegaslinesmayoccurafterthevehicle gas bottle and/or tank is refilled, during and after servicing otherappliancesonsamegasline,etc.

b. Do not attempt to light more than one burner at a time. c. Immediatelylightburnerbyholdingalongmatchneartheburnerports.CAUTION: Hand held ignitors may be used but be sure they are the type designed for lighting open flame burners.3. If any burner should extinguish after initial lighting or due to accidentalblow-out,turngasoffbyturningcontrolknobclockwise to“OFF”,waitfive(5)minutesbeforeattemptingtorelighttheburner.Failuretofollowtheseinstructionscouldresultinafireorexplosion.If the burner should go outwhile cooking, or if there is an odor of gas, turncontrolknob(s)clockwise to“OFF”.Waitfive(5)minutesforgasodortodisappear.Ifgasodorisstillpresent-Donotrelightburners.See“WhatToDoIfYouSmellGas”onthefrontcoverofthismanual.4. Toturnburner(s)“OFF”,turntheappropriatecontrolknobclockwise to “OFF”.

WARNING! Be sure all control knobs are turned “OFF” when you are not cooking. Someone could be burned or a fire could start if a burner is accidently left on or unattended even if only momentarily.

MAINTENANCEWARNING! If the user of this appliance fails to maintain it in the condition in which it was shipped from the factory or if the appliance is not used solely for its intended purpose or if appliance is not maintained in accordance with the instructions in this manual, then the risk of a fire and/or the production of carbon monoxide exists which can cause personal injury, property damage or loss of life.

1. Make sure all controls are “OFF” and the drop-in cook top is cool beforecleaning.2. Make sure that all cook top surfaces, burner grates and burners are coolbeforecleaningordisassemblingcooktop.3. Donotuseovencleaners,bleachorrustremoversonthecooktoporburnergrates.4. Donotobstructtheflowofcombustionandventilationair.5. Cleanallsurfacesassoonaspossibleafterboiloversorspillovers.6. Usewarmsoapywateronlytocleantheburnergrates,cooktops,paintedsurfaces,porcelainsurfaces,stainlesssteelsurfacesandplasticitemsonyourdrop-incooktop.Donotusegritoracid-typecleaners.7. Donotusesteelwoolorabrasivecleaners.Theywilldamageyourdrop-incooktop.Useonlynon-abrasiveplasticscrubbingpads.8. Donotallowfoodscontainingacids(suchaslemonortomatojuice,orvinegar)toremainonporcelainorpaintedsurfaces.Acidsmayremovetheglossyfinish.9. Do not wash warm porcelain surfaces.Allow these areas to cool beforecleaning.Youcouldburnyourselfortheporcelaincouldcrack.10. Pitting and discolorationwill result if spills are allowed to remain for anylengthoftimeonstainlesssteel.11. Donotallowspilloverstoremainontheburnercaps.Thecapscouldbepermanentlystainedifspilloversarenotcleaneduppromptly.12. Ifanyoftheburnerportsortheorificeareclogged,carefullycleanwithasmallwireorneedle.Besurenottoenlargeports.Neveruseawirebrushforcleaningburnerportsororifice.Neveruseanybrushwhichmay“shed”bristles,whichmay become lodged in the orifice or burner ports and cause a fire orexplosion.TO REMOVE THE STOVE TOP1. Removethe two(2) thumbscrews fromthesidesof thestove top.Lift thestovetopclearoftheburnerbox.2. Toreinstalltop,reversetheprocedure.TO REMOVE GRATE(S)1. Removethetop.2. Squeezeoppositesidesofthegratetogetherandliftfreeofthedrop-intop.3. Toreinstallgrate(s)reversetheprocedure.

LIMITED WARRANTYSUBURBAN RECREATIONAL VEHICLE COOKING APPLIANCE

TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTYThisSuburbanproductiswarrantedtotheoriginalpurchasertobefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormaluseandmaintenanceforaperiodoftwoyearsfromdateofpurchasewhetherornotactualusebeginsonthatdate.Allporcelainparts,includingtopburnergrates,arewarrantedascommerciallyacceptableonlyasofthedatetheproductwasmanufactured.Itistheresponsibilityoftheconsumer/ownertoestablishthewarrantyperiod.Suburbandoesnotusewarrantyregistrationcardsforitsstandardwarranty.YouarerequiredtofurnishproofofpurchasedatethroughaBillofSaleorotherpaymentrecords.

SuburbanwillreplaceanypartsthatarefounddefectivewithinthefirsttwoyearsandwillpayawarrantyserviceallowancedirectlytotherecommendedSuburbanServiceCenterat ratesmutuallyagreeduponbetweenSuburbanand its recommendedservicecenters.Replacementpartswill beshippedFOB theshippingpointwithin theContinentalUnitedStates,AlaskaandCanadatotherecommendedservicecenterperformingsuchrepairs.Allfreight,shippinganddeliverycostsshallbetheresponsibilityoftheowner.Theexchangedpartorunitwillbewarrantedforonlytheunexpiredportionoftheoriginalwarranty.Beforehavingwarrantyrepairsmade,confirmthattheserviceagencyisarecommendedservicecenterforSuburban.DO NOT PAY THE SERVICE AGENCY FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS; SUCH PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED.

Suburbanreservestherighttoexaminetheallegeddefectintherangeapplianceorcomponentparts,anditistheowner’sobligationtoreturntherangeapplianceand/orcomponentpartstoSuburbanoritsrepresentative.Whenreturningarangeappliance,itmustincludeallcomponentpartsandtheserialnumberplate.Returnedcomponentpartsmustbeindividuallytaggedandidentifiedwiththerangeappliance’smodelnumber,serialnumberanddateofinstallation.

Forwarrantyservice,theowner/usershouldcontactthenearestrecommendedSuburbanServiceCenter,advisingthemofthemodelandserialnumbers(locatedunderneaththemaintop)andthenatureofthedefect.TransportationoftheRVtoandfromtheServiceCenterand/ortravelexpensesoftheServiceCentertoyourlocationistheresponsibilityof theowner/user.Acurrent listingof recommendedservicecentermaybeobtainedfromSuburban’swebsite:www.rvcomfort.com. Ifyoucannot locatearecommendedservicecenterlocally,theserviceagencychosentoperformwarrantyrepairsmustcontactourServiceDepartmentat423-775-2131forauthorizationbeforemakingrepairs.UnauthorizedrepairsmadewillnotbepaidbySuburban.

7. Costsincurredingainingaccesstotherangeappliance.

8. PartsoraccessoriesnotsuppliedbySuburban.

9.Freightchargesincurredfrompartsreplacements.

10. Damageorrepairsneededasaconsequenceofanymisapplication,abuse,unreasonableuse,unauthorizedalteration,improperservice,improperoperationorfailuretoprovidereasonableandnecessarymaintenance.

11. Suburbanproductswhoseserialnumberhasbeenaltered,defacedorremoved.

12. SuburbanproductsinstalledorwarrantyclaimsoriginatingoutsidetheContinentalU.S.A.,Alaska,HawaiiandCanada.

13.Damageasaresultoffloods,winds,lightning,accidents,corrosiveatmosphereorotherconditionsbeyondthecontrolofSuburban.

14. ANYSPECIAL,INDIRECTORCONSEQUENTIALPROPERTY,ECONOMICORCOMMERCIALDAMAGEOFANYNATUREWHATSOEVER.Somestatesdonotallowtheexclusionofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,sotheabovelimitationmaynotapplytoyou.

MISE EN GARDE : Il est impératif que le placard dans lequel l’appareil est installé soit séparé des autres appareils, de telle manière que l'alimentation en air de combustion des brûleurs ne soit jamais perturbée par le fonctionnement d'un appareil de chauffage à air pulsé ou son système d'alimentation, ou par toute autre source de pression d'air positive ou négative. Une dépression créé par un autre appareil à pulsage d'air peut provoquer un abaissement de la flamme autour des brûleurs de la table de cuisson et dans la table de cuisson, ce qui peut faire subir des dommages aux brûleurs et à la table de cuisson, ainsi qu'au véhicule, et éventuellement provoquer des dommages corporels. Un courant d'air sous pression positive peut provoquer l'extinction d'un brûleur qui serait ensuite suivie d'un débit de gaz non contrôlé. Dès que le mélange air/gaz qui se formerait ainsi atteindrait une source d'inflammation quelconque, l'explosion et l'incendie qui en résulteraient provoqueraient des dommages matériels et corporels, voire un accident mortel.

7.Vérifierquelesboutonsdecommandedesbrûleurssontàlapositiond'arrêt“Off”.Ouvrirl'arrivéedegaz.Inspectertouteslesconnexionspourrechercherlesfuites.

AVERTISSEMENT: Ne jamais utiliser une flamme nue ou autre source d’inflammation lors de l’inspection de recherche des fuites. Appliquer de l’eau savonneuse sur tous les joints pour déterminer une éventuelle formation de bulles.
