Introduction

Dear customer, thankyouforpurchasingourproduct. It isamodernandtechnologically advanced LOC200. This product will helpyoutosecureandprotectyourvehicle(car,truck,motorcy-cle, caravan, construction machine, agricultural machine,motorboat etc.). In case theguarded vehicle is stolen theLOC200 will send you a current position to your mobilephone.Viamobilephone you can easily view the currentmapwithvehiclepositiononthedisplay.This serviceofadisplayingonamapiscompletelyfreeofcharge.YoucanalsoviewthepositionofaguardedvehicleviaPCandweb-sitehttp://www.satmaps.netfreeofcharge.

ThesystemconsistsofaLOC200unitandasatelliteGPSan-tenna.TheLOC200unitisusuallyplacedinahiddenandadifficulttoapproachplace(e.g.underacardashboard).SIMcardoftheGSMmobileoperatorisplacedinsidetheLOC200unit(theLOC200hasitsowntelephonenumber).

ItispossibletouseacontractorapayasyougoSIMcards.IncaseyoudecidetouseapayasyougoSIMcard,youcancheckitsremainingcreditusingyourmobilephone.Charg-ingofthepayasyougoSIMcardcanbedonefromyourmobilephoneorforexampleusingATM(checkpossibleop-tions for a remotepay as yougo SIM card chargingwithyourGSMoperator).

ThesystemwillcommunicatewithyouusingSMS’s,thereforeitisessentialtopayattentiontoratesforSMSserviceswhilechoosingyourmobileoperator.Werecommendyoutoacti-

vateroamingontheSIMcardjustincaseoflocalizationofthe vehicle abroad. The LOC200unit connects to a vehicleonboardpower12VDC.Werecommendyoutoconnecttheunittoabackupbatteryjustincasethemainpowersourceisstolen or inactivated. The LOC200 allows other functions,whicharedescribedindetailsinthisuser’smanual.

TheLOC200isintendedeitherforseparateconnectionorasanadditiontoacaralarm.

1. PushthereleasingbuttonandslideouttheSIMcardholder.Insert the SIM card in the holder and slide back in theLOC200togetherwiththeSIMcard.

AtfirsttheSIMcardneedstohavePINcodeprotectiondeac-tivated.ThePINcodeprotectioncanbedeactivatedforex-ampleinamobilephone.

2. Connect particularwires from cable as seen on the right.ThecableconnectormustbedisconnectedfromtheLOC200duringwireconnectingprocess.

Yellow,redandblackwiresmustbealwaysconnected.Connectionofremainingwiresisoptional.Incaseparticularwiresarenotcon-nectedrelevantfunctionsofthesystemwillnotbeactive.

TheoutputofexternalalarmcanbeconnectedtoinputoftheLOC200usingwhiteororangecable.

• A0(whitecable)-INPUTalarmisactivatedbysignal0V• A1(orangecable)-INPUTalarmisactivatedbysignal+12V

The maximum current carrying capacity of the switchingrelay is 12VDC/5A.While controllinganappliancewithahighercurrentloaduseanauxiliaryrelaywithappropriatetechnicalparameters.

3. Connect theGPSantennaand the cable connector to theunit.GPSantennamustbeplacedhorizontallyandmustnotbeobstructedfromthetopbymetalparts.

4. Switchcar ignitionONandOFF.Theunit isONnow.Waitapproximately 2 minutes for the unit initialization com-pletion. The unit is ready to receive configuration SMS commandsafterthattime.

Note!

TheLOC200allowsconnectionofbackupbatterytothecableconnectorwires(blackandred-whitewire).Char-gingofthebackupbatteryis doneautomaticallywhiledriving.Werecommendtousegelbattery12V/1,3Ah.Thebattery endurance is 30 to 60hoursdependingonmo-mentaryoperatingmodeoftheLOC200.

Connectthebackupbattery(gelbattery12V/1,3Ah)toblack(-)andred-white(+)cablefittedwithfastonconnector.

Beware of the polarity of battery contact!

Installation example

GPS locator installation into the vehicle It is recommended to place theGPS locator for example underthe dashboard. Remove the nec-essary covers of the dash-boardand choose a suitable place forGPSlocatorandbackupbattery.

Basic connection of GPS locatorcanbedoneviathreewires(red,black and yellow). During thewires connection the cable con-nectormustbedisconnectedfromtheGPSlocator!

• Red wire connect to +12V powersupply. Power supplymust be con-tinuousandmustnotbeinterruptedevenifthevehicleisparked!

• Black wireconnecttoacarframe(-).

• Yellow wireconnecttocontact15(circuit which is powered +12VwhentheignitionisON).

Connection of other wires from the cable harness is optional!

TheLOC200configurationisperformedusinginstructionssentasanSMSfromyourmobilephonetothephonenumberoftheLOC200.CommandisalwayssenttogetherwithPINcodewhichdefinesauthorizeduser(s).ThePINcodeisafourdigitnumberwhichcanbechanged.ThePINcodeissetbymanufacturertovalue4321(symbols****areusedinsteadofPINcodeinthetextbelow). The commands canbe typedboth in regularorcapitalletters.Incasethecommandisnotsentinacorrectform,theLOC200willsendSMSwiththetextCOMMAND ERROR. In casethecommandissentwithincorrectlyenteredparameters,theLOC200willsendSMSwiththetext key word ERROR.

Parameter z is optional. If this phone number is enteredwithoutthisparameter,itmeansthatSMS‘swillbesenttothisphonenumberfrombothINPUTalarmandGPSalarm(thevalueIGissetautomatically).

Up to3 telephonenumbers canbeas signed.Allentered(authorized)numberscancontrolGPShigher levelprotec-tionmodebyringingtheLOC200number(seebelow).Thetelephone numbersmust be entered in international for-mat,sothenumbermustalwaysbeginwiththesymbol+.

Note!

AuthorizedtelephonenumbersmusthaveidentificationofcallingnumberCLIPactivated. Incasethisfunctionisnotactive,functionofGPShigherlevelprotectioncannotbecontrolledanditisnotpossibletocontroltheLOC200byringing.

The first authorized number set by command PHONE is calledincaseofINPUTalarmorGPSalarmactivation.Condi-tionforcallingthefirstauthorizednumberisactivationofthisfunctionbyacommandCALL.

Note!

BysendingcommandSTOP1repeatedlytherelayswitchedtimecanbeextended.DeviceETLOC-30isnotanimmobiliza-tiondeviceandmustn’tbeusedtoimmobilizeavehicle.

Setting of time period for sending a current position information at GPS alarm activation

Thecommandscanbetypedbothinregularorcapitalletters.Incasethecommandisnotsentinacorrectform,theLOC200willsendSMSwiththetextCOMMANDERROR.Incasethecommand is sent with incorrectly entered parameters, theLOC200willsendSMSwiththetextkeywordERROR.

Thief protection

TheLOC200canbeusedforprotectioneitherseparatelyortogetherwithexternalalarm.Modes"GPS"protection"and"GPShigher levelprotection"canbeused if theLOC200 isusedwithout car alarm.Mode "INPUT protection" can beusedinadditiontothetwoabovementionedmodesifexter-nalcaralarmisconnectedtotheLOC200.
