9. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the cable ties provided, to prevent damage or rattling and being careful to avoid any areas that would pinch, cut or melt the wire. 10. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering and other items that may have been removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires NOTE Store 4-Flat in trunk area when not in use. WARNING Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT exceed lower of vehicle manufacturer rating or: • Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps) • Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps) Read vehicle’s owners manual & instruction sheet for additional information. ENGLISH TOOLS REQUIRED: Trim Panel Remover, 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench, Drill (3/32” Drill Bit), 1/4” Socket, Wire Crimpers, Wire Cutters, Philips Head Screwdriver, Test-probe 1. Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate. Remove threshold, trunk floor panels and trays de . Set aside all items removed being careful not to damage parts. 2. Being careful not to damage clips, partially remove the lower interior trim panels on driver’s side of the vehicle fg . 3. Beginning on the driver’s side, separate the vehicle’s wiring connectors h , being careful not to break the locking tabs. Insert the T-Connector end, with the yellow wire, between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place. All connector surfaces should be clean and free of dirt. 4. Route the T-Connector containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing. Repeat step 3 for the passenger’s side using the T-Connector containing the green wire. 5. Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver’s side near the connectors. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure white wire with eyelet using screw provided. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces. CAUTION Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces. 6. Locate a flat surface in an out of the way place and mount the T-Connector’s black box-module, to prevent damage or rattling. NOTE This surface should be in an area that is free of any moisture and mounted in an area that it is high enough where it could not be exposed to direct contact with any water or liquid substance. 7. From inside the vehicle, connect the black 12 ga. wire and the black wire from the T-Connector black box with the supplied yellow butt connector. Either route the black wire thru a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow the existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery avoiding areas that may pinch or break the wire i . WARNING If routing the wire thru a grommet and along the exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points that may pinch or break the wire. 8. Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable. If not removed, remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided). After cutting the fuse holder wire j , attach the ring terminal and secure to the vehicle’s Positive (+) battery cable k . Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. wire, using the yellow butt connector (provided). WARNING Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery. All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly. Test and verify installation with a test light or trailer once installed. 4. RoutetheT-Connectorcontainingthegreenwirebelowthethresholdcovertothepassenger’ssidetaillighthousing.Repeatstep3forthepassenger’ssideusingtheT-Connectorcontainingthegreenwire.
5. Locateasuitablegroundingpointonthedriver’ssideneartheconnectors.Drilla3/32”holeandsecurewhitewirewitheyeletusingscrewprovided.Donotdrillintoanyexposedsurfaces.
CAUTIONVerifywhatisbehindanysurfacepriortodrillingtoavoiddamagetothevehicleand/orpersonalinjury.Donotdrillintoanyexposedsurfaces.
6. LocateaflatsurfaceinanoutofthewayplaceandmounttheT-Connector’sblackbox-module,topreventdamageorrattling.
NOTEThissurfaceshouldbeinanareathatisfreeofanymoistureandmountedinanareathatitishighenoughwhereitcouldnotbeexposedtodirectcontactwithanywaterorliquidsubstance.
7. Frominsidethevehicle,connecttheblack12ga.wireandtheblackwirefromtheT-Connectorblackboxwiththesuppliedyellowbuttconnector.Eitherroutetheblackwirethruagrommetandalongtheexteriorframeorfollowtheexistingwiringalongthethresholdsintotheenginecompartmentuptothebatteryavoidingareasthatmaypinchorbreakthewirei.
WARNINGIfroutingthewirethruagrommetandalongtheexteriorofthevehicle,becarefultoavoidanyhotpipes,heatshields,thefueltankoranyotherpointsthatmaypinchorbreakthewire.
8. Disconnectthevehicle’snegative(-)batterycable.Ifnotremoved,removethefusefromtheyellowfuseholder(provided).Aftercuttingthefuseholderwirej,attachtheringterminalandsecuretothevehicle’sPositive(+)batterycablek.Connecttheotherendofthefuseholdertotheblack12ga.wire,usingtheyellowbuttconnector(provided).

4. FairepasserleconnecteurenTmunidufilvertsouslecouvercledeseuil,verslelogementdefeuarrièrecôtépassager.Répéterl’étape3ducôtépassageravecleconnecteurenTcomprenantlefilvert.
5. Repérerunendroitappropriépoureffectuerlamiseàlamasseàproximitédesconnecteurs,ducôtéconducteur.Perceruntroude3/32poetfixerlefilblancàl’aidedel’oeilletetdelavisfournis.Nepaspercerdesurfacesexposées.
ATTENTIONAvantdepercer,vérifiercequisetrouvesouslasurfacepourprévenirtoutdommageauvéhiculeoutoutelésioncorporelle.Nepaspercerdesurfacesexposées.

3. Desdeelcostadodelconductor,separelosconectoresdecablesdelvehículoh,concuidadodenoromperlaslengüetasdebloqueo.InserteelextremodelconectorenT,conelcableamarillo,entrelosconectoresdecableadodelvehículoyfíjelosensulugar.Todaslassuperficiesdelconectordebenestarlimpiasylibresdesuciedad.
4. DirijaelconectorenTquecontieneelcableverdedebajodelacubiertadelumbralhaciaelreceptáculodelaluztraseradelcostadodelpasajero.Repitaelpaso3enelcostadodelpasajerousandoelconectorenTquecontieneelcableverde.
5. Encuentreunpuntoapropiadoparaconexiónatierraenelcostadodelconductorcercaalosconectores.Perforeunorificiode3/32”yasegureelcableblancoconelojeteusandoeltornilloquesesuministra.Noperforeningunasuperficieexpuesta.
ATENCIÓN Revisequéhaydetrásdecualquiersuperficieantesdeperforarparaevitardañosalvehículoy/olesionespersonales.Noperforeningunasuperficieexpuesta.
6. LocaliceunasuperficieplanaeinstalelacajanegramódulodelconectorenT,paraevitardañosoruido.

Desdeelinteriordelvehículo,conecteelcablenegrodecalibre12yelcablenegrodesdelacajanegradelconectorenTconelconectordeculataamarillaquesesuministra.Dirijaelalambrenegroatravésdeunpasacablesyalolargodelbastidorexteriorosigaelcableadoexistentealolargodelosumbralesydentrodelcompartimientodelmotorhastalabateríaparaevitarlasáreasquepuedenpellizcaroromperelcablei.

Desconecteelcablenegativo(-)delabateríadelvehículo.Sinoseharetirado,retireelfusibledelportadordefusiblesamarillo(suministrado).Despuésdecortarelalambredelportadordefusiblesj,unaelterminaldeanilloyasegúreloalcablepositivo(+)delabateríadelvehículok.Conecteelotroextremodelportadordefusiblesalalambrenegrode12ga.usandoelconectordecabezaamarillo(suministrado).

10.Vuelvaainstalarlospanelesdeguarniciónplásticos,elumbral,lascubiertasdealmacenaje,lascubiertasdelpisoyotroselementosquesehayanretiradodurantelainstalación,concuidadodenopellizcarocortarloscables.
NOTAGuardeelconectorplanode4salidaseneláreadelbaúlcuandonoestéenuso.
