Before Starting

1. Inordertoavoidpossiblecolourdifferences,allBetapproductsaremarkedwitharoll number.Itistheaccountabilityoftheflooringcompanyorthepersonwhoacceptsthe product,tocheckthenumberofitemsdeliveredandrollsonanydefectsbeforethebillof loadingissignedoff.

NOTE: For each installation a maximum of 50 m2 can be installed for assessment. Ifaninterestedpartydetectsanydiscrepancybetweentheoriginalspecification or a production fault, Betap must be informed of this before further installation.

2. Theproductsmaybetemporarilycrushedasaresultofpackaging,storageandtransport. Thiseffectoccursinthecaseofalltypesandqualitiesoflandscapinggrassanddisappears automaticallywhenthepilerecovers.Thecarpetisgivenitsoriginalappearanceback again.

Preparation

Betapcarpetandcarpettilescanbeinstalledoneveryfloorprovidedthatissturdy,dry,cleanandlevel.ThisaccordingtonationalandEuropeanguidelines.Residuesofpreviousfloorcoveringmustberemoved.Beforestartingtheinstallationoftheflooring,itisneededtocleantheentirefloor.Thiscanbedonewithavacuumcleanerthatcanbeusedforheavydutyapplications.

1. Measuring LandscapinggrassofBetapcanbeboughton2and4meterswide.Beforetrimmingthe landscapinggrasstoroughsizesmeasuretheentiresurface.Whencuttingthelandscaping grasstoroughdimensionsadd10to15cmextraofwidthandlength.Landscapinggrass providedbyBetapneedstoacclimatizeintheoriginalpackagingatleast24hoursbefore installationataminimumtemperatureof10°C.

2. Prepare surface Betaplandscapinggrasscanbeinstalledoneverysurfaceprovidedthatisrelativedry,

cleanandlevel.Thebestsubsoilisalayerofca.10cmbuildingssand.Oldlandscapinggrassorpavingmustberemovedbeforeinstallation.Thesubsoilshouldbesufficientlyflat,stableandwaterpermeable.Addingdrainagecanberecommended.Aftercompactingthesand-beditshouldbelevelled.Ontopofthesandageotextilenonwovencanbeaddedfromextrastability.

3. Prepare edging Foranicecleanlook,addingedgingorcurbingisrecommended.Allkindsofmaterialscan

beusedforthat:stone,concrete,(hard)woodorbendableplasticandbendablemetal.Byusingedgingorcurbingyourlawnissecurelyenclosed.Havingaborderlikethatcanalsocoverunevenedges.Itmaybewisetousetentpegstosecureyourlawnattheedges.

Installation

1. Tools Useameasuringtape,carpetknife,carpetroller,seamtapeandahammer.

2. Installing landscaping grass Startwithlayingoutthedifferentpiecesoflandscapinggrass.Whentheroughplacementis

readyplacethelongitudinalseamsclosetogetherandcutwithacarpetknifealongthesidetogetaniceseamacrosstheentiresurface.

Usetheseamtapeunderneaththeseamtosecurethetwopiecestogether.Betaprecom mendsthelandscapingandeventingtapewhichisavailableindifferentwidths.

3. Quality check Checkfrequentlythestraightnessofthepieces.Alsocheckingifthepiecesarejoining

correctly.

4. Post installation Wheninstallationiscompletelyfinished,itisallowedtowalkoverthefloor.Incaseof

movingheavweadvisetoputhardboardontopofthelandscapinggrass.

Maintenance

AlllandscapinggrassqualitiesofBetaparelow-maintenance.Tokeepyourlawnsurfacebeautiful,weadviseyoutoremoveorganicdebrislikeleavesetc.withaleafblowerorbroomregularly.
