IMPORTANT NOTE

Pursuant to the German Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG) and our statutory duty to draw attention to the heat generated by this product, please note the following:

The calorific value of 96% ethanol is approx. 29,600 kJ/kg. With a fuel throughput of 0.5 l/h (approx. 0.4 kg/h) the heat released is approx. 3,300 W (Quadra Inside Automatic I SL). The Quadra Inside AutomaticI II SL con-sumes 1 l/h and the resulting combustion heat is 6,600 W.

However, please note that a generous fresh air supply is necessary when operating the decorative fireplace, as otherwise the carbon dioxide gener-ated will exceed the permissible concentration in the ambient air.

The incoming fresh air is usually cooler than the ambient air to be heated, resulting in a loss of energy. The effective heat output from a bioethanol fire is thus very low, and so decorative fireplaces burning bioethanol are not considered to be heating systems.

This is a decorative fireplace that is not intended for heating or continuous operation. Nevertheless, it should be taken into account that heat is gener-ated as a by-product of the combustion process. This can cause increased heating in the room where the fireplace is installed. Read the safety instruc-tions and measures for rear ventilation carefully.

Please note the information and warnings given in this operating manual.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Young children, the elderly and the frail: As with all naked flames, a guard should be used to protect the above. Risk of burns! Never leave such individuals unsupervised near an ebios-fire when it is lit or when the fire has just gone out. ebios-fires must always be operated under supervision!

Your ebios-fire should be installed and operated in accordance with the relevant national and local regulations, in particular the fire safety regula-tions of the particular federal state or the fire protection regulations of the VKF (Switzerland).

Ensure that your ebios-fire is set up on a stable base and select an instal-lation location where the burner will not be exposed to movement due to impacts, etc., when in operation.

Please note that you should never top up with fuel manually by pouring it into the fire tray by hand. Fuel is always supplied to the fire directly from the canister, via the integral pump!

Only persons familiar with the appliance and the safety instructions and who have been trained how to operate the fire should be allowed to change the fuel canister.

The ebios-fire is not a heater. It is a decorative fire. Sufficient ventilation must be provided. The appliance switches off automatically after 8 hours for safety reasons.

Bioethanol is a hazardous substance and the quantities you may store are subject to regulations. It is essential to comply with the regulations that apply at the place of use.

For homes in Germany the general rule is:

Storage in the basement: not more than 20 litresStorage in the living-room: not more than 5 litres

(Source: Hazardous Substances Information Data Sheet published by the Association of the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry; also Technical Rules for Flammable Fluids 20)

1.1 SCOPE OF SUPPLY

ebios-fire with the following characteristics:

• Quadra Inside Automatic I SL or II SL casing with stainless steel fire tray • Burner support frame (not in conjunction with other ebios burner mount-

ing products)• 2 x canister closing systems with hose connection• 2 x inlet hoses (standard length: 2.5m / Optional: up to 10 metres)• Ignition remote control• Tabletop power unit with a 1.8 metre length of cable

2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please carefully read and note the following instructions. Remember that bioethanol is a liquid fuel that can generate high temperatures when burned and which is itself highly flammable. You should also bear in mind that the brightness of the flame can dim to a level at which the flame is no longer clearly visible. Please make children and other people in the home aware of this. Failing to follow the installation and operating instructions can result in dangerous situations and the possibility of explosive ignition of the fuel.

Correct installation and proper handling are essential to ensure safe, reliable operation of your fire. The unit is not self-supporting. It must be installed as per the instructions, ensuring it is horizontal. Never move the burner when the unit is operating. The unit must be installed in such a way that it cannot be knocked over or tilted.

2.1 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Once the burner is supplied with an operating voltage, it can go into opera-tional readiness mode by actuating the switch on top of the burner. The remote control is then used to initiate the combustion process. During this phase, a pump is operating all the time, and glow ignition is triggered once the level is high enough. At this point, the burner channel fills with fuel that then ignites.

The integrated pumps continue delivering fuel to the burner channel until the level reaches the fill level sensor. At this time, the pumps are switched off.

The level falls as the fuel burns. When the fuel is no longer in contact with the level sensor, the pumps start up again and continue pumping until the level reaches the sensor again.

Only one pump is in operation at any one time. That helps keep the power consumption low.

When the burner is switched on, the pump that was delivering fuel the last time it was switched off is activated first.

The burner is supplied with two sets of fuel lines for operation with two canisters. First of all, pump 1 empties canister 1. Then the system switches over to pump 2 and canister 2. Always make sure the burner is switched off before exchanging an empty canister for a full one.

GB 6

If the canister(s) is/are empty, the flame will go out and the burner will switch off. Additional an audible fault signal will be heard.

Otherwise, the pumps can be stopped by switching off the burner (using the remote control). The fuel remaining in the burner channel at that time is pumped back into the tank. The remaining ethanol burns off within about 40 seconds.

2.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION

All relevant national and European standards and local regulations (storage and fire precautions, etc.) must be noted and observed when installing and operating the ebios-fire. The following is a list of the relevant regulations (without any claim to completeness). They refer only to operation in Ger-many. In other countries the regulations that apply there must be observed.

BetrSichV Industrial Safety and Health Ordinance

TRbF Technical Rules for Flammable Fluids

BsV The fire protection requirements of the particular federal state

LBO State building regulations

GefStoffV Hazardous Substances Ordinance

The ebios-fire should only be installed in rooms and at locations where the position, structural conditions and type of use will not create any hazards. The floor area of the room where it is installed must be of such a type and size that the ebios-fire can be correctly operated in accordance with the regulations.

GB 7

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT Please contact your supplier without delay. Protect the cover and visible parts of your fire from dirt and damage during installation and transport

We recommend that you keep a suitable fire extinguisher for liquid fires handy (fire class B).

2.4 INSTALLATION LOCATION

When choosing the installation location for your ebios-fire please ensure the unit is not directly exposed to major heat sources such as radiators, stoves, etc. and that it is not installed in a room where high temperatures occur (e.g. a sauna).

Your ebios-fire must not be installed:

1. In stairwells and landings, except in residential buildings with no more than two flats

2. In corridors accessible to the public3. In garages 4. In rooms where highly flammable or explosive substances or mixtures

are processed, stored or manufactured in such quantities that ignition or explosion would be hazardous.

5. In poorly ventilated spaces 6. In unsupervised areas accessible to the public 7. In areas not sufficiently protected from cross-draughts 8. On top (uninstalled) of tables, furniture, up against a wall, etc.9. Outdoors without a protection against weather and high humidity 10. In the entrance areas of hotel lobbies where draughts are likely to be

more prevalent, and where substantial differences in air pressure can be expected.

When setting up the ethanol canister it is important to ensure that it cannot tip over. The canister should only be stored in bays or cupboards where

flammable gases cannot build up. There must be no sources of ignition in the immediate vicinity of the ethanol canister and supply lines. Please note that the ethanol canisters must be placed at a lower level than the burner (not more than 4 m difference in height), as otherwise there may be an uncontrolled escape of ethanol if a leak occurs. Therefore keep the lines as short as possible (line length not more than 10 m) and protect the lines from contact with sharp, pointed or rough objects.

If using the ebios-fire 5-litre canister, the canister storage space must be not less than 350 mm x 180 mm x 240 mm (H x W x D) per canister. In addi-tion, the design of the location must ensure that it does not allow flammable gases to build up, it will contain any escaping ethanol and it will prevent fire from spreading.

2.5 ASSEMBLY / INSTALLATION

The ebios-fire Quadra Inside Automatic I SL and II SL is a ready-to-use unit for fitting into the top plate of a custom-made piece of furniture (flammable materials) or a custom-built open fireplace (non-flammable materials).

Custom-built open fireplaces using the Quadra Inside Automatic I SL or II SL do not require a flue.

Whether free-standing or wall-mounted, the ebios-fire unit must be aligned horizontally and secured so that it cannot tip. The wall-mounted model should be attached to the wall and the free-standing model should be fas-tened to the wall or floor. Note the safety clearances (Fig. 10 radiant area).

Rear vents must not be closed or obstructed. Place the burner in the frame provided in the Quadra Inside Automatic I SL oder II SL. The floor on which free-standing units are placed must have sufficient load-bearing capacity. If not, appropriate measures should be taken, e.g. using a board to spread the load, in order to achieve the requisite safe loading capacity.

2.8 COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY

Your ebios-fire draws the air it needs to burn from the room in which it is installed (non-room air sealed). You must ensure that the room where the fire is installed has an adequate supply of fresh air. If the windows and doors are sealed (for example, for energy-saving reasons) it may be the case that an adequate fresh air supply cannot be guaranteed. That is why it is essential that you note the required air change rate and comply with the room sizes indicated. Otherwise, your well-being (headaches, poor concen-tration) and, possibly, your safety may be compromised or the fire may not burn properly. For protection from these hazards you can purchase devices in specialist shops similar to a smoke alarm that warn you when exces-sive carbon dioxide concentrations occur. Air quality indicators that analyse carbon dioxide concentration as well as temperature are also advisable.

Open a window to ensure an adequate supply of fresh air.

3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read these Installation and Operating Instructions through carefully before installing or operating your ebios-fire. Remove all objects from the fire tray of the ebios-fire Quadra Inside Automatic SL. Please note all fire precau-tions and dangerous goods provisions.

3.1 GENERAL OPERATING INFORMATION

• Young children, the elderly and the frail: As with all naked flames, a guard (available from specialist dealers as an accessory) should be used to protect the above. Risk of burns! Never leave such individuals unsupervised near an ebios-fire when it is lit or when the fire has just gone out. Please make them aware of this hazard.

• Never place flammable objects on any part of the ebios-fire Quadra Inside Automatic I SL und II SL. Never dry washing on the unit. Racks for drying washing should always be placed outside the radiant area of the fire (Fig. 10). Fire hazard!

• The burning process releases thermal energy which heats up the burner, the housing surfaces, the glass windows (depending on the model) and the protective glass. Avoid touching hot parts unless appropriate precautions are taken (e.g. wear protective gloves). Risk of burns!

• Never leave the fire unsupervised when lit!• Please ensure that the protective glass (if supplied) is fitted to the

Quadra Inside Automatic I SL and II SL. • We recommend that you open a window whenever the fire is in use.• Operating more than one decorative ethanol fireplace at the same

time is permissible only if the fuel throughput of all the units does not exceed the permitted value according to local regulations. Adequate ventilation must also be ensured. For more information please refer to the table under Technical Data 2.2 on page 6.

• Modifications to ebios-fire units are not permissible.• This is a decorative fireplace for home use which is not designed for

heating and is not intended for continuous operation. It should never-theless be noted that heat is produced as a by-product of combustion. That can increase the heat in the room where the fire is used.

• If the burner is not going to be used for some time we recommend that you close the ethanol canister by screwing on the lid and remove the mains adaptor from the socket outlet.

Page 14: Installation and Operating Manual - media.druservice.nlmedia.druservice.nl/Documents/Data/IGH_Spartherm_2017-05_EN_Qua… · GB 2 FOREWORD / QUALITY PHILOSOPHY You have chosen a SPARTHERM

GB 14

• NEVER fill the burner by pouring in fuel at the side or on top DANGER TO LIFE

• Handling fuel near the unit when lit or while still hot is dangerous and must be avoided. Please remember that a static charge is enough to create a spark which can ignite the fuel.

• Any accidental spills of ethanol should be cleared up straight away – before lighting the burner!

• The burner is suitable for indoor use only. It must not be used out of doors or in a draughty place

• The burner may only be operated within an ambient temperature range of +15°C to +35°C.

• High atmospheric humidity and condensation forming on the burner may interfere with its operation. In that case, switch the unit off if lit, or do not use it.

• You should bear in mind that the brightness of the flame can dim to a level at which the flame is no longer clearly visible. Please make children and other people in the home aware of this.

• Do not smoke when handling fuel or the ebios-fire.

Failure to follow these basic rules can result in uncontrolled ignition and even an explosion!

3.2 FIRE PRECAUTIONS

Do not place any flammable objects, such as decorations, clothing, etc., in the radiant area. A minimum distance of 1,000 mm must be maintained from flammable building compo-nents, furniture, decorations or curtains at the sides to protect them properly from heat. The

space above the fire must be clear of all objects, all the way up to the ceiling (ceiling clearance 1,000 mm)!

3.3 FUEL

The fuel used is bioethanol (chemical formula C2H

6O) with a 96,6% ethanol

content. You can purchase the fuel from your specialist dealer. The fuel is a hazardous substance according to ADR: Class 3 PG II, UN 1170.

Never use any other type of fuel, such as petrol, spirit or flammable fluids. Do not mix fuels together or mix fuel with other substances. The burners must only be operated with the fuel that we specify. Otherwise, the warranty will be voided and operating the unit may be unsafe or dangerous.

Ethanol is a highly flammable fluid which must be stored in a tightly closed container in a cool place, protected from light and kept away from sources of ignition. Please remember that a static charge can create a spark. It is permissible to store up to 5 litres in the living-room and up to 20 litres in the basement*. Keep bioethanol out of the reach of children.

Please note that ethanol is intended only for burning - it is not a food product. Keep children safe! If ethanol is swallowed, seek medical treatment without delay. Show the doctor the label from the fuel canister.

3.4 USING THE UNIT FOR THE FIRST TIME

The ebios-fire-Quadra Inside Automatic I SL and II SL is supplied with the fuel feed lines empty, to prevent any leakage or evaporation of ethanol in transit.

Important notes when using the unit for the first time:

• The circular cut-outs on the long side of the burner housing must be left open. They must not be closed off or restricted. These are the air inlets.

• The height adjustment screws must always be accessible.• The height adjustment screws only have a limited adjustment range. If

you are unable to level the unit correctly by means of the screws, then use a structural solution (e.g. lining the base of the frame) in order to achieve a satisfactory result.

• The first time the unit is used, the fuel lines are still empty. There may not yet be enough ethanol in the fire tray if the ignition timing is erratic.

• Take care not to bend the lines sharply when connecting and installing them. Avoid pinching or chafing them and avoid tensile stress!

• Do not attach the lines to the outside of the burner. Allow them to hang freely.

• Pull gently on the quick-action couplings to check that they are securely engaged with the filling adapters.

• Check all the feed line connections to make sure the hose clip is cor-rectly positioned. It should not be possible to detach the fuel lines from the nozzles with a gentle pull.

• The ethanol canisters should always be placed below the level of the burner or fire tray. Never place the canisters above fire tray level.

• The unit should only be plugged into a socket that has been installed by a qualified electrician. The socket outlet must be easily accessible and it must be provided with a switch.

3.4.1 ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

1. The first step is to connect the fuel feed lines (supplied) to the burner. You will need a standard pair of universal pliers or pointed pliers to do this. Push the ends of the fuel lines on to the connecting nozzles on the underside of the burner (Fig. 1), as far as they will go. Now squeeze the clips and slide them over the connecting nozzle and fuel line. When the pliers are released, the hose clip will hold the fuel line securely on the nozzle (Fig. 2). The ends of the fuel lines should now be securely attached to the burner. The lines can be connected in any order.

2. Connect the small, round, low voltage plug on the wall power supply to the burner. The plug will only fit the socket provided. The socket is located at the end of the burner diagonally opposite the fuel line con-nection side (Fig. 3).

3. Then place the Quadra Inside Automatic I SL or II SL in the ready-made cut-out in the top plate/tabletop. Start by inserting the mounting frame into the recess. Then place the burner in the mounting frame so that it rests on the bolts in the corners (Fig. 4).

7. Plug the wall power supply into a socket outlet.

3.4.2 STARTING THE EBIOS-FIRE

1. Switch on at the socket outlet, or press the top button on the radio remote control once (Fig. 8). To switch off, press the same button again.

2. Press the top button on the remote control (Fig. 9). To switch off, press the same button again.

3. The red illuminated ring on the switch on the top of the burner lights up. The burner then beeps twice briefly, then starts the filling process. Initially, the ethanol collects in the middle of the burner channel where it is ignited when the level is high enough. Wait until there is no further pump action, and until the ignition interval ends.

• Never bend your head directly over the burner channel, especially during the ignition phase.

• Remain at a safe distance of 1 metre until the appliance has ignited the fuel.

Take care not to pinch or damage the fuel lines or the power lead. Check that the burner insert is horizontal and ensure that the circular cut-outs on the burner housing (at the left and right of the long side) are unobstructed and not covered over.• Using a spirit level, please only check if the burner is horizontal while

the unit is cold.• The height adjustment screws must be accessible at all times.• The adjustment path of the height adjustment screws is limited. If no

satisfactory levelling is possible in this way, construction measures (e.g. extra filling below the installation frame) must be employed to improve the installation situation.

4. Remove the screw caps from the full ethanol canisters. Next, screw the filling adapters on to the canister. The end of the line with the metal intake nozzle should lie on the bottom of the canister, so that the canis-ter can be completely emptied.

5. Connect the fuel intake lines to the filling adapters via the quick action coupling. (Fig. 5)

6. Place the glass panes supplied in the slots on the top. (Fig. 6)

• Especially while the fuel is cold, the flames are barely visible to begin with. As the burner channel heats up, the flames get higher and brighter.

4. If the fuel level is significantly higher at one end of the fire tray than the other when the unit is warm, you should readjust the adjustment screws with the aid of the Allen key.

• Do not adjust while the unit is in burning mode. Never bend directly over the burner channel.

5. The ignition interval ends automatically after a short period. If the fuel has not burned off by then, switch off the appliance, wait for 10 seconds, then switch it back on again. This then starts a new ignition sequence. This can occur during initial start-up, and after extended periods when the system has not been in use. If no fuel is directed into the burner channel, even after this second attempt, or if the fuel does not ignite, switch off the appliance. Remove the mains power connector from its socket and contact After-Sales Service.

Note: a temperature switch is installed in the appliance that measures the temperature of the burner channel. If you operate and then switch off the appliance, it takes approx. 15 – 20 minutes until the appliance can be switched back on again. This is in the interest of your own safety. During this phase, the red LED on the operating switch flashes. Once the cooling phase has been reached, the burner issues an acoustic signal and the LED stops flashing.

FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIGHT THE BURNER BY HAND!!!

3.4.3 CHECKS WHEN USING THE FIRE FOR THE FIRST TIME

If you do not have a checklist for this, please answer the following questions:

• Is the unit undamaged?• Are the accessories complete?• Is there a sufficient air flow during the installation process?• Have all the specified clearances (safe distances) been observed?• Have the canisters been placed below the burner level?• Are all the fuel lines and connections leak-tight?• Is the operating indicator working (red ring on switch)?• Does the ethanol flow into the fire tray?• Do both pumps work? (The second pump will not switch on until the first

canister is empty)?• Does the ethanol spread out evenly over the whole fire tray?• Is the flame pattern even?• Are the temperatures of the surrounding surfaces non-critical? (Meas-

ure, if necessary).

3.5 REFUELLING/CHANGING THE CANISTER

• Do NOT fill the burner via the fire tray! • When changing the canister, keep as far away as possible from hot parts

and sources of ignition! DANGER TO LIFE!

Unscrew the cap from the new, full canister (Fig. 10). Detach the quick-action coupling from the fuel line at the canister (Fig. 11) and unscrew the lid and the end of the fuel line from the empty canister. Pull the filling adapter up and out of the empty canister (Fig. 12) and lower the intake hose into the full canister (Fig. 13).Screw the filling adapter on to the top of the full canister (Fig. 14). Re-attach the quick-action coupling to the filling adapter (Fig. 15).

4. MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND CARE

• Allow the unit to cool down for at least 1 hour before cleaning it!• Inspect and clean the unit once a month.

Various deposits build up in the fire tray over time. These can be loosened with a paintbrush/ordinary brush or a cloth when the unit is cold and then removed from the fire tray with a vacuum cleaner. It is important always to keep the fire tray clean and free from loose particles, as dirt and particles may interfere with the level control system.Surrounding surfaces and the slotted cover plate may become stained after ethanol has been burned for some time. These residues may be wiped off with a damp cloth when the unit is cold (do not use microfibre cloths on the glass panes of the unit).Dust must be removed regularly, as dust particles can burn or char. This can cause soot and dirt in the room where the fire is installed and on the furnishings in the room. After cleaning the unit, carry out the following checks to make sure the unit is in full working order.

• Check that all fuel lines, canisters and connections are leak-tight • Check condition of fuel lines • Examine the unit for any signs of damage or warping • Check that the air inlets are clean and unobstructed • Function of the remote control and the pumps

3.6 SWITCHING OFF SAFELY

To shut down the unit safely, unplug the power supply from the socket and press the switch on the burner or the top button on the remote control.

After a few seconds the red LED indicating that the unit is operating will go out. The remaining ethanol in the fire tray should burn off in about 5 to 10 minutes. If the unit is not going to be used for some time, remove the fuel lines from the canisters before switching off, and then wait for the signal that both canisters are empty. That ensures that the fuel lines have been drained as much as possible. Then seal the canisters with a leakproof cap (not the filling adapter). Remove the quick-action couplings from the filling adapters.

4.1 UNIT AND GLASS SOOT UP HEAVILY, QUICKLY AND UNEVENLY

If this has not always been the case, please check the following:

• Is the correct fuel being used? • Is there a draught in the room?

4.2 UNPLEASANT SMELL

• Is there fuel in the fire tray although the burner is not lit? • Was any fuel spilled when refuelling? • Is there adequate ventilation?• Are there any particles or other foreign matter in the fire tray?• Is this smell also evident when using other types of ethanol?

4.3 FLAME PATTERN CHANGES

• Is the correct fuel being used? • Have all the safe distances been observed? • Is the room where the fire is installed sufficiently ventilated?• Is the installation location shielded from cross-draughts?• Are the circular air inlet holes unobstructed?• Is the unit more or less horizontal or is the ethanol distributed over the

whole length of the fire tray?

4.4 BURNER FAILS TO LIGHT

• Is the ring on the switch showing red?• Is there ethanol in the canisters?• Can you see from the fuel supply lines that ethanol is being pumped

through them? Is there ethanol in the fire tray?

4.5 THE BURNER GOES OUT SUDDENLY

• The burner switches off automatically after 8 hours to prevent it being inadvertently left on. (The red ring round the switch is still lit and the unit can be restarted).

• Has there been a power supply failure? The Quadra Inside Automatic I SL and II SL has to be restarted after a power failure.

• Has the burner been correctly installed, and have the air supply and vent openings been provided as per the instructions?

• The Quadra Inside Automatic I SL and II SL switches off if the housing becomes too hot to prevent overheating. The red light on the switch goes out and the unit must be allowed to cool down before it can be restarted.

7. DESIGNER / DISTRIBUTOR PRODUCT INFORMATION FOR FIREPLACES WITH INDIVIDUAL EBIOS QUADRA INSIDE AUTOMATIC SL BURNERS

ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner systems comprise safe burners for decorative fireplaces burning bioethanol.

In all ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner systems made by Spartherm Feuerungstechnik GmbH the liquid ethanol in the fire tray is at a distance from the ethanol supply in external canisters and is connected to it by fuel lines. The fire tray only ever contains a small quantity of combustible liquid, which burns away within 5-10 minutes. The design of the ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner has been developed according to the state of the art. The burners have safety features guaran-teeing reliable, trouble-free operation.

Although the ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner systems are designed to be decorative, they also give off heat as a by-product. Heat is produced by burning the ethanol. As well as creating the decorative flame, this process also generates heat of about 3,300 W (Quadra Inside Automatic I SL con-suming approx. 0.5 litres per hour) or 6,600 W (Quadra Inside Automatic II SL consuming approx. 1 litre per hour). Although the burners give off that heat, they are not heating appliances according to the regulations in force and they are not technically designed for that purpose.

Please read through the Installation and Operating Manual carefully, and in particular the safety notes and rear ventilation requirements, before initial installation of the ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner system and before using it for the first time.

Proprietorship of the manufacture and design is expressly reserved and full legal protec-tion is claimed in accordance with Sections 823, 826 and 1004 of the German Civil Code. Unauthorized copying, distribution and reproduction, in full or in part, will be subject to civil and criminal prosecution under Sections 2 (7), 96 ff and 106 ff of the German Copyright Act and Sections 1, 3, 4, 18 and 19 of the Unfair Competition Act. Our General Terms of Sale and Delivery shall apply with regard to rights and their use. Proprietorship of the manu-facture and design is expressly reserved and full legal protection is claimed in accordance with Section 823 of the German Civil Code.

When designing fireplaces yourself, we recommend that you measure the temperatures in operation. Suitable contact thermometers or digital laser thermometers are available for this purpose, for example the VOLTCRAFT® IR 900-30S infrared thermometer, measuring range -50 to +900 °C. To make measurements for glass fireplace inserts (such as room dividers in spas and wellness centres or restaurants, hotels, etc.) you should attach suitable measuring points. Note the instructions in the user guide for your thermometer. If you are writing your own operating manuals for fireplaces of your own design using ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner systems, please enter the results of your temperature measurements in the manuals and issue the customer / initial operator with a copy of your manual.

Individually installed fireplaces with ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner systems must not be decorated with seasonal decorative items such as fairy lights, swags, garlands, etc. or Christmas or Easter decorations as these would block the air flow. Our Installation and Operating Manual can only provide information on the basic handling and operation of the ebios Quadra Inside Automatic burner and you should also include the special features of your finished product in your user manual.

The user instructions and safety instructions are an essential part of the contract of sale and are generally included in Spartherm Feuerungstechnik GmbH’s scope of supply.

If you have mislaid your copy, please contact us for a replacement.
