CREATE YOUR STYLE with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Inspiration Book Scandinavia: Hearts Case

STEP 1: Cut a 14.5 cm x 17.5 cm piece out of cream white felt.

STEP 2: Make a fold in the felt 8.5 cm in as you see in illustration and affi x folded part with pins.

STEP 3: Slide onto red yarn 42 Swarovski Beads 5328, 4 mm in Light Siam.

STEP 4: Stitch through felt with crocheting needle as you see in illustration (go also through folded part). Take up the thread with the beads on it onto the crocheting needle and pull it through the felt. Pull thread through loop which occurred from last stitch.

STEP 5: Pull fi rst bead close to fi rst stitch as you see in illustration – crochet a chain stitch over bead by pulling thread through loop as you see in second picture in this step. Repeat steps 4 – 5 until you get to next corner (do only every second chain stitch over a loop).

STEP 6: At the corner make 3 stitches into one hole and continue crocheting as before for the next two sides.

STEP 7: Sew both threads (one from beginning and from end) very well in the inside of case and cut off excess with scissors. Remove pins as well.

STEP 8: Cut out of felt the heart shape as you see in illustration and repeat this step 4 times so you have 5 hearts.

STEP 9: Fix the hearts with pins onto felt – they should be in a straight line

STEP 10: Take a piece of red yarn and sew it onto back side and sew the hearts onto the felt. On every second stitch slide on a Swarovski Bead 5328 in Light Siam or Dark Red coral. Sew the thread end through to the back and cut excess off with scissors.

STEP 11: Fold the hearts down as you see in illustration.
