About 120 villagers mostly children and females has participated in meeting. The

representatives of NGO introduced the main components of NRDWP and activities to be carried

out by NGO in front of all villagers and members of VWSC. The trainer demonstrated "How to

use FTK" using water sample carried out by villagers from their homes. Swachhta Rath was

there to carry Team members, awareness materials apart from airing of Audio Jingles. The

reading of the sample from hand pump of Gram Pradhan, indicated 8 NTU (upper limit: 10)

turbidity, pH 7.0 and 0.5 ppm Fluorides (upper limit: 1.5 ppm). There are 5 schools in GP, and all

have HPs (5HPs, among one is non-functional. ANM, Asha, Ahaika, Teacher and Anganwadi staff

were actively participated in meeting. NGO distributed the awareness materials to Gram

Pradhan. The sanitary condition was satisfactory. Surprisingly, Villagers especially children and

women were aware about environmental pollution and personal hygiene. NGO awareness

programme was satisfactory in Village.

About 120 villagers, among majority of females have participated in meeting. The

representatives of NGO introduced the main components of NRDWP and activities to be carried

out by NGO in front of all villagers and members of VWSC. The trainer demonstrated "How to

use FTK" using water sample carried out by villagers from their homes. Swachhta Rath was

there to carry Team members, awareness materials apart from airing of Audio Jingles. The

reading of the sample from hand pump India mark-2 of Mr Surendra Dubey, indicated 10 NTU

(upper limit: 10) turbidity, pH 6.0 and Fluorides 0.5 ppm (upper limit: 1.5 ppm), Fe 1.0 ppm

(upper limit: 0.3 ppm) and Nitrate 10 ppm (upper limit: 45 ppm). There are 4 schools in GP, and

all have functional HPs. Some villager complained about high TDS in some potable samples on

the basis of analysis report prepared by some Water Filtration Manufacturing Companies. Gram

Vikas Adhikari, ANM, Asha, Sahaika, Teacher and Anganwadi staffs were actively participated in

meeting. NGO distributed the awareness materials to Gram Pradhan. As per villagers, the

sanitary condition is very good due to the dedication of two Safai Karmies in GP. NGO

awareness programme was satisfactory in Village.

from hand pump mark -2 of primary school, indicated 10 NTU (upper limit: 10) turbidity, pH of

alarming 6.0 (it could be re-checked by District Jal Nigam Laboratory), Fluoride NIL, Fe 0.4 ppm

(alarming, upper limit: 0.3 ppm) and Nitrate 35 ppm (upper limit: 45 ppm). Total 40 numbers of

HPs Mark-2 (All Functional), but villagers complained High TDS (however, not confirmed by

testing). According to village committee, the sanitary condition is good in village. NGO

distributed the awareness materials to Gram Pradhan. NGO awareness programme was

satisfactory in Village.

About 75-90 villagers, among majority of females have participated in meeting

organized in primary school. The weather was very cold, and thus adversely affected the

number of participants. The representatives of NGO introduced the main components of

NRDWP and activities to be carried out by NGO in front of all villagers and members of VWSC.

The trainer demonstrated "How to use FTK" using water sample carried out by villagers from

their homes. Swachhta Rath was there to carry Team members, awareness materials apart

from airing of Audio Jingles. The reading of the sample from hand pump India Mark-2 of pri.

School, indicated 10 NTU (alarming, upper limit: 10) turbidity, pH 6.0, Fluoride 1.0 ppm (upper

limit: 1.5 ppm), Fe 0.4 ppm (alarming, upper limit: 0.3 ppm) and Nitrate 35 ppm (upper limit: 45

ppm). Only Fe was slightly high in concentration, thus water from HP mark-2 was potable. Total

93 numbers of HPs Mark-2 were installed, out of which 6 were non-functional. According to

village committee, the sanitary condition is good in village. NGO distributed the awareness

materials to Gram Pradhan, ASHA and Anganwadi. In last month, one death and two affected

cases were recorded in village due to JE. NGO awareness programme was satisfactory in Village.

The below mentioned 3 villages has been covered by NGO in month of July, 2012

On the basis of above slogan and wall writing of toll free number of UP Jal Nigam and State Water and sanitation Mission, UP, and interaction of villagers, confirmed that the NGO working satisfactory and executed programme objectives in the villages in emphatic way. Moreover, after interaction of villagers the following activities have been confirmed (as per ToR):

1. Meeting in GP. 2. Participation of ANM, Asha, Anganwadi staff and members of Village Committee. 3. Photography and Videography. 4. Demonstration of Water Testing using FTK in meeting. 5. Wall writing of slogan and toll-free number of UP Jal Nigam and SWSM on 4 places within the

GP. 6. Sanitary Survey of GP 7. Demonstration of hand washing in meeting. 8. Continuous playing audio Jingles throughout the day by "Swachhtarath".
