Tate Funding
• Government Funding – 36%• Grant-In-Aid cuts: £10 million in real

Tate Funding
• 2013/14 – total income £178.1 million including grant-in-aid, trading income & donations
• Excluding capital & acquisition income, total is £83.6 million - £53.2 million self-generated, £30.4 million grand-in-aid
Tate Enterprises & Tate Catering
• 2013/14 achieved revenues of just over £15 million through its trading activities and contributed a profit of £2.62 million to Tate.
• Tate Catering contributed £288,000 in profit overall.

• As of 31 March 2014 there were 104,054 Tate Members

Tate Patrons

Cultural Gifts Scheme
• Enables UK taxpayers to donate works of art to the nation offset by a tax reduction.
• In 2014 it was announced in the Budget that the combined annual limit for the Cultural Gifts Scheme and Acceptance in Lieu scheme would be increased to £40 million
• In 2013/14 three works were allocated to Tate via the Acceptance in Lieu scheme: a rare watercolour by Mark Rothko and two sculptures by Raphael Montañez Ortiz
