Welcome . . .If you are our guest today, please know that

you are welcome. We are here to honor Almighty God and His son, Jesus Christ. It is His desire that people of every tribe, tongue, people, and na-tion gather around HIS throne...which is greater than all others!

Would you like a short Bible Study? Ask one of our greeters for the “Discovering Christ” material. You can complete it at home in about 30 minutes. Then bring it back for a personal session to examine the message from God’s Word.

Wisdom SeekersBlessed are those who find wisdom. Proverbs 3:13

Every spring colleges and universities hold commencement ceremonies to celebrate the success of students who have completed their studies and earned their degrees. After the students cross the stage, these graduates will enter a world that will challenge them. Just having academic knowledge won’t be good enough. The key to success in life will be in wisely applying everything they have learned.

Throughout Scripture, wisdom is celebrated as a treasure that is worth seeking. It is better than riches (Proverbs 3:13-18). Its source is God, who alone is perfectly wise (Romans 16:27). And it is found in the actions and attitude of Jesus, in whom “all the treasures of wisdom” are found (Col. 2:3). Wisdom comes from reading and applying the Scripture. We have an example of this in the way Jesus applied His knowledge when He was tempted (Luke 4:1-13). In other words, the truly wise person tries to see life from God’s point of view and chooses to live according to His wisdom.

What’s the payoff for this kind of life? Proverbs tells us that wisdom is like sweetness of honey on the tongue (Proverbs 24:13-14). “Blessed are those who find wisdom” (3:13 NIV). So seek wisdom, for it is more profitable than silver or gold! - Joe Stowell

Lord, strengthen my resolve to live by the wisdom that comes only from You. Give me the discernment to live all of life from Your point of view that I might know the blessings of a life lived wisely.

Blessing comes from seeking wisdom and living by it.

Sierra Bible Camp is ComingSierra Bible Camp is coming June 13-20. Turn in all registration forms to Margaret Houston by TODAY.Children may still enroll for $170 up to May 24. After TODAY, the fee will

go up to $250. Transportation: Parents will need to drive their children to and from camp.

We don’t have enough drivers to provide rides to all campers. If your child needs a ride, check with other parents as soon as possible to find someone who may have space.

Scholarships: Members willing to help provide a scholarship for campers, please see Cecil or Margaret for information about how you can help.

Laptop NeededIf you would like to help with the purchase of a laptop computer for Jose

Bello, the preacher we help support in Venezuela, please make your check to Parkway Church of Christ and write “Missions-Venezuela” in the memo space. It will help him in his work.

Delighting in GodA new series called “Delighting in God” starts in Sunday evening services

for about six weeks. We will take a more in-depth look at the Living God. We will discover that He is an infinite, self-existent spirit who acts in amazing ways with delightful consequences for you. Don’t miss going deeper in your understanding and joy in God. God calls us to delight in Him (Psalm 37:4) and live an abundant life in Him (John 10:10).

Sunday Morning Adult ClassesBeginning Sunday, May 31, 9:30 a.m., the men will meet upstairs in the

Young Adult classroom for a Men’s Training Class and the women will meet in the auditorium for a ladies class. The Daily Bible Reading class will move to Sunday evenings at 4:00 p.m. in place of a regular worship service. For information on the training classes, see Greg Hampton or Michael Conley; for information on the Daily Bible reading class, see Sam King or Chris St. James; and for information on the Women’s Class, see Debra Winters or Chris Brinkley.

Thank you to everyone who contributed for the preacher’s house in Somoto, Nicaragua! It is a real blessing to Antonio Granera and his work for the Lord there. Only about $150 is needed to finish construction, most all of which is being done by Antonio himself and members of the church. Thanks again!
