303-255-7800The Carpenter Recreation Center has three courts available to reserve on a

rst-come, rst-served basis. Two courts are scheduled on the hour and oneourt on the hal hour and normal drop-in, punch card or pass ees apply when you come in to use the court. Reservations are accepted beginning three

ays in advance o the day you wish to use the court (or example, startingMonday at 5:30 a.m. you may reserve courts up to 9 p.m. on Thursday). Only

ne, hour-long reservation will be accepted per call and a maximum o tworeservations in a row (by the same person) are permitted. Racquets andgoggles are available at the ront desk or check out with an ID and balls arevailable or purchase only. I you need to cancel, please call at least two

hours prior to the reservation. We will hold the reservation or 10 minutester the scheduled time or no-shows. Ater that the court will be re-openedor reservation. Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings are typically

reserved or Challenge Courts (all are welcome!) and Thursday nights we ypically reserve two courts or youth and adult group lessons. Please cal l03-255-7800 or more inormation.

Party times are available on Friday evenings and Saturday/Sunday aternoons.

The package is or up to 12 children and includes admittance to the acility. A

$3 ee is charged or each additional child with 15 children maximum. The party

group will spend approximately one hour in the party room with a hostess

beore going into the aquatics area. The hosting parent/guardian must provide

appropriate supervision once the party moves into the pool. To make reserva-

tions or your next hassle-ree party, call AT LEAST two weeks in advance. The

nonreundable ee is due at the time the party is scheduled.

The Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center oers a complete Conditioning Center with

a variety o weight and itness machines. The weight and itness equipment is provided

or anyone 16 years and older. Those between 13 and 15 years o age must complete a

 youth orientation. The Conditioning Center is open during all general operating hours o

the acility and is divided into three separate areas: Free weights, circuit machines, and

cardiovascular equipment.

10. Toys, squirt guns, balls o any kind must beapproved by a manager on duty.

11. All swimmers must wear appropriate swim at-tire. Plastic pants or swim diapers are requiredor all toddlers and must be checked andchanged oten. Inappropriate swim wear suchas thong bathing suits will not be permitted.

12. No underwater breath holding is allowed atany time.

13. Children 5 years and younger are NOTallowed in the hot tub.

14. Adult Lap is or individuals 18 and older.However, exceptions may be made orserious younger swimmers on an individualbasis and as space is available. Please call theAquatic Specialist at 720-977-5919.

15. Children using the slide must be able toswim the width o the pool. Adults may notuse the slide with their children or catch chil-dren at the bottom o the slide.

16. Only those people 18 years and older arepermitted to use the steam room and sauna,except on Tuesday and Thursday nights rom8:30-9:50 p.m. children ages 12-17 will bepermitted in the steam room and sauna onlyi accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.The sauna and steam room will close 10minutes prior to the closure o the building.

duce ages 6-18 to the un and excitemento competitive swimming. Our coaches willwork to create a nurturing environmenthat ocuses on good sportsmanship. Someime will be given to competitive strokeechniques, however, due to the nature o a

swim team environment, individual atten-ion will be limited.

Participants need not have any competi-iv xpric, BUT must b abl t swim

25 yards/ull length o the pool withoutstopping crawl stroke (reestyle). This

 year all swimmers 9 years and under willneed to attend a team tryout in order toparticipate on the team. Tryouts will beheld Tuesday, April 27 rom 6:30 to 7:30p.m. and Thursday April 29 rom 6:30 to

The City o Thornton participates with the Colorado Association o RecreationalAthletics (C.A.R.A.), which oers a recreational based competitive gymnasticsleague. The training and skill development is a year-round program, and gym-nasts will compete with others rom around the state during the competitive

season (May through July). The lowest competitive level is Compulsory Level IVand the highest competitive level is Optional Level 4.
